Because you started to play and you don't try to learn by yourself with faq and wiki. And do a topic in random section

Maybe he is playing offline or unranked maps so he don't get ranked plays ?
Check you are connected to bancho and makes sure the maps you play have a "Global Ranking" scoreboard.
