Gotta stop derailing threads ****....
Sorry to continue the off-topic / derail here but I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say that <95% accuracy shouldn't be considered good on a map . 10 misses also seems like a lot. Being able to get a B or less than 10 misses or just to be able to pass airman at all might make you a decent / good player overall, but it doesn't mean you can play airman at a "really good" level.FlyingKebab wrote:
I would reckon that a pass with less than 10 misses and at least 90% acc so technically a strong B would be considered enough to argue about something? Getting only like 10 misses on Airman would be really good actually.
Just fix the note lock.thedamntrain wrote:
Getting note locked on a full stream and getting x15 50s in 2 sec and ending up with 93% B on https://osu.ppy.sh/b/91037 is probably what I'd consider my argument.

Airman and maps like it are more of a psychological thing to overcome certain patterns and how you follow them. But the people who overcome these barriers have a lot less problems in completing those maps well.
So I could have the joy of searching for my replies in 1 year an see how right/wrong I was at the time. It's gonna be a blast reading then.Ichi wrote:
Like how in the hell are you able to make such deductions about this game, are you trying to reassure yourself? are you multiacc?
2 months into joining the game and you are already making psycological assumptions and talking about the hardest maps like if you´ve been playing those for a long time... not trying to offend you here im just surprised you do because i didn´t even know what Ar meant 2 months after joining in, i was busy trying to learn the game.
It's fun to theorycraft and even more fun to see other people react to that. I do gain knowledge by posting my opinion and then seeing counterarguments and other opinions/criticism.GoldenWolf wrote:
You could also note these things on notepad instead of trying to theorycraft on something you know little about on a forum
Unless you like people lecturing you?
One year is plenty enough to pass something that isn't limited by ones physical limits like stream speed or tapping speed. Getting better aim or accuracy is easier than getting better physically or at least that's how it is for me.Maxis wrote:
And not to mention, you're going to be at the skill level to satisfactorily pass Airman in 1 year to be able to then deem if you were right or not? lol
I mean, I guess 1 year is theoretically possible if you've got over 10k plays a month or you gain skill wicked fast, but both scenarios are pretty unlikely.
Even so it's fun reading forums anyways. And comical when someone takes a reply too seriously and starts bashing you all over the place.GoldenWolf wrote:
I guess, even though knowledge is almost useless in osu!
I absolutely don't feel targeted thereFlyingKebab wrote:

You say that even though your acc isn't that good and the maps you play are easy as fuck (I can play while mashing and still get close to SS on easy maps+od7). I mean, I'm sure I could get better acc than you if someone made me 2 pedals (like drum pedals) and I used that to play instead of a keyboard.FlyingKebab wrote:

What I mean by that is that you shouldn't talk about stuff that you don't have a clue. Pass airman changing the map to at least hp7-8 and you MIGHT be able to tell me if it is difficult or not. Even so, difficulty is usually in terms of fcing, not passing.
See what I mean.FlyingKebab wrote:

Can you even FC a 5* map though?Riince wrote:
Hell, I can't even claim 5 star maps are easy withoutidiotspeople calling me out, you calling maps like airman easy prompts an even greater reaction.
You joke, but that's actually a pretty good guideline.FlyingKebab wrote:
Alright, I promise I will never mention a map I can't pass decently ever, deal.

forget about the logic you think this game has, and start working on your game because frankly, it has none. Its just circle clicking for god freaking sakes

To answer the question without reading any of the thread because I'm too lazy, there are few ar10 maps because it is seen as unnecessary as only tryhards play and make ar10 maps. Mods like Hard Rock exist yeah.
Can't play hr? Can't play ar10.
Basically anything over 5* feels right at AR10 for me, especially at CS4.cheezstik wrote:
And I think the real reason ar10 maps are rare is cos rarely does a map need ar10, only big black is fast enough to really need it, and other examples I can think of like rog unlimitation. There are obviously more but Ican't think of any off the top of my head.
WHAT? WHAT WAS THAT? THIS IS RIGHT FOR AR10? DO YOU- DO YOU THINK THIS SHOULD HONESTLY BE AR10 (AND STILL RANKED)?Narrill wrote:

Uhm... yes? Is there something special about that map that makes AR10 a bad idea?
+1, I can't test the map now since I'm not at my osu computer, but imo, unlike cs and od, ar isn't there for the sake of difficulty, except in special cases of low ar reading practice maps. An ar that suits the song should be applied to it, not one that just increases the difficulty. If ar is wanted just to make a map harder, I think that's what hr should be for.Faces3 wrote:

every fucking ar10 ranked map is fast as shit, for one, and compared to ranked ar10, that map is slow as shit
think of the speed it needs to really fit ar10 (and feel natural)
there's much more I could list though
The word you're looking for is density, and I've already stated that I believe any map above 5* has the necessary density to feel natural at AR10, especially at CS4.Faces3 wrote:

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but the reality is that AR has an obvious, albeit fairly complicated, effect on difficulty.cheezstik wrote:
