SAO really brought a lot of people to anime.-Nya- wrote:
Well, I haven't watched Non Non Biyori yet and literally, the first serious, non-childlike anime that I started watching was SAO. That's also where my love for anime developed. I guess, when I think about the series again and compare it with others, then it seems a bit lacking, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm not really judgy when I watch something, except some American movies/series where the romance is completely inappropriate or the two characters just sleep with each other after the first date (I mean, really?!)
And the reason why I used words like "great artwork" to describe the anime shows, was just because I didn't really have the time to explain the shows better and more broadly.
Most people go through a sort of anime infancy where anime is just a new thing and they love essentially every one they see, only to realise later down the track the ones they loved don't hold up as well. All I can say is watch variety and watch the classics.
