I'm glad that I did end up installing Windows 7. I used to have Windows 8 but it was buggy as hell and decided it was time for change.
What do you guys think? Windows 7 or Windows 8?

windows 8.1 is great
At least you just disproved that you ever used 8.1, thanks for that.sinkip wrote:

and what else... oh yeah, able to resize modern apps. holy shit that's so revolutionary and changes everything
but srsly windows 8/.1 is crap
Personally I think it's the other way around, my computer w/ windows 7 boots up almost three times faster than windows 8. I also had a lot less to deal with when starting up windows 7. Both windows run smoothly, just with different options and some completely new screen.mathexpert wrote:
Overall it seems a lot more stable and faster than windows 7.

If you're using Windows XP or below, you are a nostalgia-fag.
If you are using Windows 7, you probably haven't upgraded yet or you're acting edgy.
If you're using Windows 8, then good.
Did you try raw input? What does the polling rate/latency say under raw input?YayMii wrote:
I'm running a dualboot of 7 and 8.1. While I prefer the interface of 8.1, it has latency problems in windowed mode that you can't get rid of (even if you use the cmd trick to disable DWM) and is incompatible with the HIDUSBF polling rate mod.
Honestly though, I really don't get the hate for 8.1. Sure, it has its problems, but it is by no means a terrible operating system.
Like I've said earlier, I actually prefer windows 8.1. But don't you think that the way Microsoft handled windows 8 was incredibly stupid and ignorant? Why couldn't they have 2 editions? Windows 8 for mobile, where there is the Start Screen, dragging shit from the edges of the screen, and opening pictures/videos/other media obnoxiously in full screen by default instead of windows. And then, Windows 8 for desktop, without all that shit. It's not that complicated – Apple, an company that knows what the fuck they're doing, has always had iOS and OS X separate. Seriously, who do you know even has a mobile device w/ windows 8 on it? It's dominated by iOS and android.nookls wrote:

Look, I'm sure you love going into a fullscreen excuse for a menu every time you press Start, and I'm sure that swiping from the edge of your probably shitty laptop touchpad to get access to a few minor things is a really cool gimmick too.nookls wrote:
i use windows 8.0 (can't upgrade to 8.1 due to shitty samsung driver issues but hey at least this is still supported for now) and it's been great for me. people who say "boo hoo tablet operating system" are just super autistic and can't accept change for once in their livesSPOILER

gasp!!!!! omgeezies!!!!!!!
Or or or, you could just download a program if you're really too stubborn to just learn how to use the new start menu alternatives! Wow!!!!!!!!!! So Good!! Ten Out Of Ten!!!!!!!! besides, who the hell actually uses their laptop touchpad?Zelda wrote:

But hey, check this awesome thing out:
Isn't this cool ? And it doesn't even take up your entire screen, wow !
Nah, I prefer my idea of having an actually fully functional start menu built into my OS without having to download a third party app that won't even work properly because the ~start screen~ interferes with it.nookls wrote:
