for me its more like i get worse when i play but when i stop i stay the same
so not playing is actually yielding better results

I joined around Jan but didn't play till May, so I can attest that if you want to get better you have to play more.

If you play a map a lot in a row, you can develop harmful muscle memory which will make you miss or 100 at the same spots frequently, in which case taking a break will improve your performance. It's also good to not play if you have any kind of arm or hand fatigue.

Short breaks (up to 24 hours) can be beneficial; other than that, you're not gonna get better by not playing, period.

A break can make you care less about being "good at the game fast" (a common mistake).

This kind of thread always attracts useless posts. Locking before it turns into #Offtopic.
