I got better at Taiko by Taiko mapping and playing Butter-Fly over and over. Nice thread BTW.

For those of you that play Taiko no Tatsujin DS, you would already be familiar with this system.
As a thumb only player (I didn't use the shoulder buttons), I mapped my keyboard such that [x] and [m] are don, and [s] and [k] are kat, and I play with only my thumbs.
