  2. 00:04:902 (1) - This looks like a trap, right at the beginning. Newer players will think this starts on a white tick if you don't set a circle before it or make the slider start there to make it clearer. this is a normal diff. it follows the vocals and I think there is no problem about it
    In reference to that, you should make 00:08:311 (1) - the same pattern.
  3. 00:22:857 (1) - Set whistle HS on this slider, like you did at 00:19:220 (1) - fixed

  9. 02:36:493 - Normal hitsound at 50% vol. is just way too loud. Change into Soft hitsound here, add a whistle maybe and lower the volume. yes, I did that in other diffs but I forgot here
  10. 02:58:652 (3) - add clap HS to this whole slider there is a clap
  11. 03:04:675 (2,3) - trifle: check the blanket again it was ok, but fixed anyway
  12. 03:43:539 (9) - Again, starts on red tick no change here, I don't want to add more notes
  13. 03:57:402 (6) - The hiccup here has no real musical interpretation to me, it also doesn't look pretty good. It's better if you fix this up. tryed to fix it putting it on the sliderthick... maybe I'll see what other people say also before changing it completely

  1. OD7 is a bit over the top for the hard diff. Push it down by 1 or 2. ok
  2. 00:00:130 (1) - Same as in Normal. fixed

  1. You can increase the HP drain by 1 or 2, the current one is a tad too low for an insane map. ok
  2. 00:00:130 (1) - If not for the other diff, than at least make a smaller spinner here to map a more interesting beginning. ok but that vocals are hard to follow :/

  9. 01:17:857 (1,2) - I'm a bit ambiguous if the piano sound supports such a big SV change. At least your 2nd slider needs a lower SV, since the piano sound is also going piano again (Hope you get this reference :D) yes, fixed
  10. 01:31:493 (1,1,1) - Feels a bit odd in comparison to the hard diff where you slightly increased the SV's instead of suddenly dampening it up. For consistency, I'd increase the SV's at 0.1 or 0.15 differences here. tryed to fix it in my way
    If not, consider to lower the SV change from 1.2 to 1.5 at 01:31:948 (1) - , it's just way too much of a difference in comparison to the vocal.

  5. 00:59:220 (1,2) - Change the placement of slider (2) nearby front of slider (1)'s tail. Keeping the flow smoother. And watch the spacing.

if you want to use a modern aspect ratio w/ more pixels, you can use this 16:9 version. the only problem is that it crops off a bit much for 4:3 players.

Now for your video and mp3. They both include the credits portion, but none of the diffs map that part so it's kinda pointless. Here are the cut versions of both the audio and video.

  1. if you use the 4:3 background above, you may want to disable letterboxing in breaks since heads get wrecked.
  2. ringating's post fixes your mp3/video excess length (the amv's credits shouldn't be in the file). using that new mp3 your offset will be 185 and your video offset will be 55. you can resnap stuff by moving everything forward 55ms. preview point will have to be manually snapped tho obviously. apply mp3 changes after going through teh whole mod, since all timestamps are relative to the original mp3
  3. variable circle sizes would be nice. right now normal, hard, and insane all have the same circle size which is uh not great for the set's spread. you wouldn't have same AR, OD, or HP drain on normal, hard, and insane, right?

overall, pretty fun map. most ~130 bpm maps around this star rating are boring, but this one not so

  2. 00:33:084 (1) - might want to end the spinner in the same place as insane and normal so you can actually place an object on 00:36:493 - to emphasize the start of the kiai. i'd understand having the longer spinner on normal, which you didn't do, but doing it on hard just wat
  3. 01:23:311 (9,2) - overlap on these objects could definitely be better by placing (9)'s tail in the middle of (2)'s sliderbody.
  4. 02:02:857 (6,8,9,1) - because of stack-leniency stuff, these look really broken ingame. to fix this, you can just select 02:03:539 (8,9,1) - and move them down/to the right by 8 units. it'll have a much more natural look ingame.
  5. 02:29:220 (1,3) - eh (3) should be exactly in the middle of the slider body right? it's a little too high now

  1. same comment about unnecessary objects on hard. you even made them have quieter hitsound volume since you know they're not mapping anything. if you're really serious about including them, why don't 00:18:766 - 00:20:584 - 00:22:402 - and 00:24:220 - have circles also? they're the same musically as the places where you placed circles
  2. 00:02:857 (1) - is there a reason for having this at 1x SV while the rest of the stuff here is at .7x SV?
  3. 00:11:039 (1) - having this many red anchor sharp turn stuff doesn't really fit when the song is so calm like this. something smooth would fit the smoothness of the song a lot better
  4. 00:47:402 (1,3) - what reason is there to have these lolsy wiggles on the sliders here? like the music is just the same as the rest of the song so wiggles are just weird
  5. 00:49:902 (4,1) - blankets on this overlap are uh... not blankets. (meaning imrpove them)
  6. 01:22:175 (3) - angle on this is kinda wierd. would make sense if it were facing more towards (4).
  7. 02:24:448 (4,5) - should be copy/paste of the same slider. looks weird with (5) having more of a curve than (4)
  8. 02:58:652 (3) - starting this on a blue tick is pretty ambiguous for a normal difficulty. shortening 02:57:402 (2) - so that it ends on the place where the vocals shift pitch and starting (3) on the downbeat works without any polarity issues
  9. 02:59:220 (1) - pretty sure a 2 beat long slider is too short for a normal diff. it allows less than a full second to spin, which isn't great considering the object the cursor is coming from is in the bottom right of the playfield. mapping out those two beats would be a lot more playable than a super speed spinner
overall, more object density than is usually seen with a normal. not really my preference but meh

  1. It doesn't really matter but what's up with the name of background image..? O-O
  2. think about changing up the combo colours. your current ones are all very similar in brightness, so they are hard to differentiate sometimes and like ego_17 said slightly blend with the background video (not just the light grey tune). you could go with higher contrasts, that looks more interesting! :3
    if you wanna change them and have trouble finding nice colours, feel free to ask for help ingame!
Easy
  1. remove SV changes from this diff, it's way too hard for beginners. remember the diff is for players who just started playing and they have to learn how to read approach circles and distances yet. they'll be really confused about changing speed and distances, even if the SV changes fit the song. it's above their skill level.
  2. hitsounds in the beginning are a tiny bit too loud, imo. I'd prefer if you reduce them to ~35%
  3. 00:00:185 (1,1) - recovery time is too less for Easy diff, replace the slider with a cirlce on the downbeat at 00:05:639. then the approach circle appears after the spinner's gone, so it doesn't cause any confusion.
  4. 00:11:094 (1,2) - you could blanket this really nicely ;w;

I don't see any specific reason for the jumps as they're not placed on particular loud beats or anything..? it shouldn't be an issue since you use them constantly, but at some points they feel off, so think about changing them a bit. anyway -
  1. AR7,8 seems a little to high, consider lowering it slightly? (to ~7.2 ~ 7.5, should balance the spread slightly already)

  1. I really dislike the normal whistle; it sounds so bad and interferes with my enjoyment f the map. I think it'd be better if you replaced all normal whistle with soft whistle + hitnormal
  2. At the intro the notes seem kinda off; I question whether it's actually 1/6 but mapping the vocals on this part will always be difficult. I'd definitely get more opinions on this
  3. Sometimes I felt there was a bit to much 1/4 but you've mapped so much of it I think it works in its own way

* Uhmm, I'n not a timing expert or anything, but you should check the timing with some other people as well. I got offset 196.
* Like mentioned in earlier mods, change the title to 'No Light, No Light' and the artist to 'Florence + the Machine'
* I'd add a 'normal-hitwhistle.wav' in your folder. I'd use the one that sounds similar to the default soft-sampleset. It would fit the piano much better, because the N-whistles you have at for example 01:17:457 - 01:19:275 - don't fit the song at all. Try adding this one to your folder and see how you like it. I see you have the normal whistle here for mostly the vocals, but you could have the normal whistle in the KIAI and the rest from the soft sampleset.

* In all your diffs I find your clap usage a bit different than usual. As you can hear at 01:07:912 (2) - and 01:08:139 (3) - , there are two bass sounds, so there should be two claps. Take for example your Setsuna Plus map at around 00:51:873 (2,3) - (love that one so much www), where you do have those double claps in the KIAI. This applies to this song as well! In the Insane diff you sometimes have a clap + whistle, which works fine, but this is not in the other diffs. Now notes like 01:15:412 (2) - where there's a heavy drum sound, it's just empty. Also, to me 01:13:594 (3) - is much louder than 01:13:366 (2) - , so the clap should be at 01:13:594 (3) - ... I think you might need to redo your hitsounds at some parts of the song :< pls correct me if im wrong

I think it's more a personal preference, but I think adding more soft whistles in the whole mapset, and not just the beginning, would fit the song quite well. It's a calm song after all, so try putting more of them. Of course, if you don't like it don't force yourself to o3o

* It might be wise to have a slidertick.wav in this diff only with the clap sound for sounds like 00:38:821 - which are now skipped, because of the sliders.
* 00:13:821 (2,3) - I'd tweak this pattern a little bit to keep the flow going. The flow gets broken here for no real good reason. If you do change it, don't forget to place 00:17:457 (4) - at (308,304) to fix your DS.
* 00:32:912 (1) - Move this more to the center? Makes it easier for beginners to spin.
* 00:47:003 (3) - You might want to add a note here, since the drum in the song is really loud compared to the rest. I see that you are trying to have a pattern in breaks, but I don't think you should leave this sound out. If you do add this note, don't forget to add a clap here.
* 00:57:003 (3) - I'm lost here. What is this actually following? I see that you are trying to keep a consistent rhythm which most of the times works OK, but I don't think you should use it here. The rhythm changes here and I think you should emphasize the drum better, than not mapping it at all. Try this rhythm? I tried to make it more interesting by adding a circle at the end, which at the same time emphasizes the drum/clap sound much better than now.

You can also use the rhythm you used at 02:08:821 (2,1,2) - which works much better.
* 01:21:094 (1,2,3,1) - Personal preference, but select these all and turn DS on. Then move it down until (3) is on the y-axis. This makes the symmetry look so much better than it is now. Do testplay it to look if there are no offscreen notes.
* 01:40:639 (3) - I don't feel comfortable having a 2/1 slider here. Try having three 1/1 circles or a 1/1 slider and 1 circle.
* 01:44:730 (4) - Curve the other way for a smoother flow?
* 02:23:366 (2) - I think you should map this note, because there's a strong base here. Or else 02:27:912 (3) - wouldn't make sense.
* 02:52:912 (1,1) - You should get more opinions about this. I personally don't agree with something like this in an Easy diff, but hey, it looks nice!
* 03:00:185 (1,5) - Kinda expected you to stack these.
* 03:29:275 (1,2,3,4) - The two circles here that are used here don't sound that good imo. I think a repeat slider here would fit well, like you did at 00:44:275 (1,2) - It sounds a bit offbeat now.
* 03:57:912 (4,1) - (optional) Personally, I think this is a bit far from the spinner center. I know that beginners tend to spin really big circles, but I think it should be close to the center - so the player can react faster.

* 01:18:821 (2,3,4,5,6) - This is some heavy single-tapping for a normal diff. I know that the BPM is low, but this is something that I found in your Hard diff. You could make it easier by turning (5,6) into a slider.
* 01:25:639 (3,4,5,6,7) - Again, the same single-tap thing. Try this?
* 01:43:139 (2) - Move this note to around (104,332) so you can keep the flow going?
* 01:47:685 (1,1) - Too fast after the spinner imo. I'd have atleast have a 2-beat pauze in between them, like 00:00:185 (1,1) -
* 02:52:912 (1,1) - Same thing as the Easy diff.
* 03:17:912 (9,1) - (optional) I don't recommend stack it like these, especially because there's no beat space in between them. I'd just use DS here, since this can really confuse NM players.

I don't agree with the 1/2 note spam at some parts, but otherwise good Normal diff. Should be good to go soon.

But overall, the mapset is nicely done. I'm not sure if the hitsounds overall are OK, but the placement and rhythm seems to be fine.

  1. remove SV changes from this diff, it's way too hard for beginners. remember the diff is for players who just started playing and they have to learn how to read approach circles and distances yet. they'll be really confused about changing speed and distances, even if the SV changes fit the song. it's above their skill level.
  2. hitsounds in the beginning are a tiny bit too loud, imo. I'd prefer if you reduce them to ~35% no

I like the diff, but some random jumps bother me a little. I don't see any specific reason for the jumps as they're not placed on particular loud beats or anything..? it shouldn't be an issue since you use them constantly, but at some points they feel off, so think about changing them a bit. anyway -
  1. AR7,8 seems a little to high, consider lowering it slightly? (to ~7.2 ~ 7.5, should balance the spread slightly already) no
  2. 00:11:094 (1,2) - jump isn't bad, but considering the beginning is so calm and slow you migth wanna avoid it? I'm sure you can alternate the slidershape so you can place it at regular 1.2 DS no change, this is fine
