Met un preview point. (en haut, timing)
Pour le reste, le mapset sera assez équilibré si tu appliques mon mod (platter à 5.65 stars, soit quasi au milieu entre la salad et ma platter)
Ta rain peut sans doute être plus dure, sans abuser d'h-dash, jsuis sur qu'on peut en enlever certains.

[Platter]
Je vais pas modder ma platter ce serait débile, donc je vais modder la tienne huhu
Comme je t'ai dit, une plus simple serait cool, et c'est pas mal, c'est le cas '^'
Mais il y a des passages trop durs/space ou juste à modifier pour être mieux. En général tu as trop de h dash en 1/4. (ou simplement trop de 1/4)
Par contre sympa tes streams. ça change de mon style qui en utilise peu =w=.

So yeah pour l'instant que la platter, mais je reviendrait pour modder la rain ! je te donnerais des idées par IRC en attendant :D. Je pense que niveau hitsounds tu peut faire plus sur la Rain.

Je te shoot deux stars pour mes deux difficultées, et une autre quand t'auras appliqué mon mod :D

Anyway
Il est temps de passer au mod de ta rain, et de ton apocalypse ^^. Je peux modder la rain sans problème, pour l'apocalypse ça sera sûrement un peu plus restreint (comme tu le sais je viens de revenir, nooby skill more nooby =w=)

Your patterns are fine, but the problem is the beat placement, which is very important in the element of rhythm.
So, I would suggest you to take a look at my take as your guide to improve your difficulty. Feel free to use any of the patterns, as long as you are comfortable with it.


  • Settings:
  1. Since this is the easiest difficulty in the mapset, you can use simple beats and jumps
  2. Quadruplets (four chained circle) actually works well as a challenging pattern
  3. 00:57:314 - 00:59:270 You can use spinner here as an interchange before entering the kiai
  4. Various music feedback can be found on this song, so you have several alternatives for placing the beat
  5. Keep the spacing and distance safe

Another issues found on this mapset is the SV spread, which need to be fix. All difficulty with 2.0x SV is very painful. Trust me, I have tried this before on my first mapset, and the feedback was the same as I said for now (which is not as I expected). ;_;

Suggestions for the SV spread:
1.4x - 1.7x - 1.7x - 2.0x
1.4x - 1.6x - 1.8x - 2.0x

(NEL's Salad - Platter - NEL'S Platter - Rain)

Remember to frequently check the AIMod after changing the SV. It is still not too late to rearrange the pattern (You can improve it and make it better!).

Last but not least, always check your NCs. Keep the new combo less than 10 if possible (I usually go for 8). Higher combo will stack the fruits on the plate and eventually block the players sight for catching.

Most importantly, I'm not going to override your style or something. Consider each of the suggestions given and think carefully before declining. You have the basic of mapping, which is a good start before moving further. I believe you guys can do your best and make your way to be the best!

Another issues found on this mapset is the SV spread, which need to be fix. All difficulty with 2.0x SV is very painful. Trust me, I have tried this before on my first mapset, and the feedback was the same as I said for now (which is not as I expected). ;_;

Suggestions for the SV spread:
1.4x - 1.7x - 1.7x - 2.0x
1.4x - 1.6x - 1.8x - 2.0x

(NEL's Salad - Platter - NEL'S Platter - Rain)

Remember to frequently check the AIMod after changing the SV. It is still not too late to rearrange the pattern (You can improve it and make it better!).

Last but not least, always check your NCs. Keep the new combo less than 10 if possible (I usually go for 8). Higher combo will stack the fruits on the plate and eventually block the players sight for catching.

Most importantly, I'm not going to override your style or something. Consider each of the suggestions given and think carefully before declining. You have the basic of mapping, which is a good start before moving further. I believe you guys can do your best and make your way to be the best!

Also, try to avoid double hyperdash like at 01:21:933 (5,6,7) - as it is too hard for Platter level. changed it... too bad I liked it :'( btw, I didn't change too much kiai time mapping, as I believe even though it has less hyperdashes, I put a lot of strain at kiai times, and I believe it's enough to justify the kiai.

Another issues found on this mapset is the SV spread, which need to be fix. All difficulty with 2.0x SV is very painful. Trust me, I have tried this before on my first mapset, and the feedback was the same as I said for now (which is not as I expected). ;_;

Suggestions for the SV spread:
1.4x - 1.7x - 1.7x - 2.0x
1.4x - 1.6x - 1.8x - 2.0x <We will take that

Remember to frequently check the AIMod after changing the SV. It is still not too late to rearrange the pattern (You can improve it and make it better!).

Last but not least, always check your NCs. Keep the new combo less than 10 if possible (I usually go for 8). Higher combo will stack the fruits on the plate and eventually block the players sight for catching.

Most importantly, I'm not going to override your style or something. Consider each of the suggestions given and think carefully before declining. You have the basic of mapping, which is a good start before moving further. I believe you guys can do your best and make your way to be the best!

  2. Combo Colour 1 and 4 are pretty much the same, there's no need to keep both of them, so erase the 4th one in each difficulty.
  3. Weird background size. Use a 4:3 or 16:9 ratio. I recommend 1024x768 or 1366x768 since it's the most commonly used wallpaper size.
  4. There is some inconsistency in Tags. Use this as reference:

It's quite pointless to mention all these in my mods but I advice you to check out NEL's difficulties. The hitsounding in her/his difficulties is quite decent and maybe you get some more ideas. If you really have no idea how to do that alone call me back.
  2. Use way more NCs, sometimes the Plate gets too full. For example at 01:02:531 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - . I normally use NCs every stanza but this is up to you. Anyways, go throughout your whole diff and use more of them.

Not gonna touch too much on Rain, but I guess it needs a lot of improvement anyway. But still the best diff in this mapset I guess... so I don't want to destroy it too much.
All in all this whole mapset needs a lot of improvement and many more modders. But I see some good ideas already, so I am sure it will become better if you are willed to find more people to check it.

All in all this whole mapset needs a lot of improvement and many more modders. But I see some good ideas already, so I am sure it will become better if you are willed to find more people to check it.

  1. 00:21:406 (7,1) - For a Salad a 1/4 distance before the spinner appears is very low because a newbie barely has time to react on that. I even recommend to keep a 1/1 distance in a Salad. Removed the slider, now a circle only that leaves a 1/1 distance.
  2. 00:30:901 (4) - This should be a triplet slider as you did at 00:27:966 (4) - , otherwise it skips the beat at 00:27:966 (4) - . did a slider repeat as you advised. Changed the distances so it still makes sense.
  3. 00:37:586 (3,4) - These claps feel out of place because you didn't use them on similar sections as 00:40:520 (4,5,6) - , too. Please use a consistent hitsounding for these sections. Wanted feedback on these... They DO feel out of place then. removed and used another hitsound technique.
  4. 00:44:923 (2,3) - This feels a little wrong to the rhythm, I would definitely follow the vocals. So use a 1/1 slider that goes 00:44:923 - until 00:45:249 - :

  5. 00:54:542 (6) - This slider can be mapped differently, even though you wanted to map on vocals. I think it would be nicer to emphasize the drum beats by using this timeline: For this... I am aware of that, but I prefer this way, because it's easier and intuitive imo.
  6. 00:59:596 - Add a note. I know you wanted to keep a short break but the Piano appears, so this feels empty right now. it does a bit, you're right, but I believe for the salad it is fine for a short break to leave it empty. Will see how others feel about it.
  7. 00:59:923 (1,2) - You mapped all 4 drum beats at 01:00:901 (3,4) - but you didn't do it at 00:59:923 (1,2) - . Please keep them consistent. In case you do not know what I mean I prepared some screenshot for you:
    don't worry, I know :). did simple notes at first mapped on all 4 drums, then leaved the two sliders as is.
  8. 01:03:509 (2,3) - This timeline is wrong. If you listen very closely there is no beat at 01:03:673 - . Sure it can be argued that it follows the vocals but during gameplay that's barely noticeable. To improve the feeling for it use the following timeline:

  1. 00:10:354 (2) - Erase that note, there clearly isn't any beat. And if there was it's barely audible. Not to contradict you but, I still hear a vocal there (pretty clearly, even)... But maybe that would be better not to map it ? Will leave as is for now.
  2. 00:16:679 (4) - Not sure if that's a timing issue, but the vocals start slightly later if you listen carefully on 25% playback rate. To solve this issue you need to erase 00:16:679 (4) - unfortunately, or find an extra timing section that follows the vocals properly.
    You're right on that, will talk further about it with Kyu and see what we'll do about those kind of problems. (I did notice that while mapping...)
  3. 00:21:406 (4,1) - For a Platter a 1/4 distance before a spinner is quite short, at least use 1/2. Moved the spinner
  4. 00:31:064 (6,7) - Somehow this jumps feels a bit harsh, might be because it's 1/1 and they feel ugly in general. Please move (7) to x: 100 more or less.
    Was on purpose, but you're right it's just awfully bad. is now way easier and feel better actually.
  5. 00:46:390 (1,2,3) - I'd say increase distance between these notes a bit, that plays a bit lame. I thought about this:
