Check out that virtual drive.

No actually, I only have 512MB on the video card, not the absurd amount reported above. It's Windows 7 Professional, and also the program missed my 2nd HD.

Being an underpaid 16 year old has its limits. What would I do without my three external hard drives?

Ohi

I built this pc three years ago... Only difference since then is the harddrive.

@everyone using Windows Classic: Do you really like the theme, or do you just think it improves your PC's performance?

Why the fuck is your .gif the biggest image which has been posted in this entire thread?

Web216 ftl.

Well, for images with constant color, PNGs pretty much rape.
For images and photos, JPG usually has the lead.
GIFs on the other hand, pretty much never are the best~

Very good example, this huge image is 30kb
http://imgur.com/bDKTA.png
the jpg100 version was 1.33mb
Even the jpg80 which slowly started looking like shit was 800kb

Ph0X, we all can read Wikipedia. A link would suffice.

It has more to do with him quantizing it to the web216 palette instead of an optimized palette. All those random dots which DO NOT compress. png has nominally better compression than gif but has so many more options, it makes gif pretty much obsolete in every way.

Exept for animations, which there's APNG for, but only FF seem to support it :<
(Mainly because they helped making it)

But yes, we really need a new animated image format, GIFs are awefully hard to make and manipulate.

.mkv

Supports sound too.

The only thing stopping APNG support from being added to WebKit is laziness. As soon as they get around to it, we'll finally be able to ditch GIF.
Microsoft will probably join in after a couple of decades, too.
Azure_Kite
oh dear

Ditched Vista. Can't tell much difference in terms of performance, but at least 7 looks aesthetically smoother.

ThePassingShadow
It doesn't like ATI graphics. I'm using a Radeon 4890, though.

Really though, support for ATI is ALWAYS limited...

My rig is running Osu pretty poorly at the moment for some reason, I've tried a bunch of stuff to fix it, but I've only built the thing 2 days ago, so I'm sure I'll figure it out.
Scratch that, all it took was a reinstall of osu and it works fine now o.o.
