Transitioning from Hard (AR8) to Insane beatmaps

I've been playing osu! daily for around a month now, and I'm at the point where I feel Hard maps aren't giving me any PP anymore. My highest ranked hard map is worth 39pp, and any songs I FC on Hard lately are becoming worth barely 5-6 pp.

So I was wondering, I'm ranked 94k, should I be starting to practice insane maps to bring my pp up, because I feel I'm not able to take on insane maps at rank 94k.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

why do you ask us? try it yourself and see how you do. (i suggest sorting by difficulty tho so you dont instantly start playing the crazy 5+ star maps)

I ask because I'm still new to the game, and this thought of transitioning from hard to insane is very new to me. Point being, I'm unsure of what to do. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll try sorting it now.

there're many hard maps that will give you mad pp.
You're just only half way on hard difficulty.

Thanks, I'll make sure to look harder for er.. hard maps past where I am, the pp calculation is very confusing for me, but thank you!

There are also plenty of ar8 hards that leak into the insane category, maybe you can try them.

You don't have to do Insanes if you what you want is pp. I'm 47k and just recently started playing Insane (still suck at it), check my top ranks for hard diffs that give pp (FC of course).

I just had a couple of runs through on all of them, I think I need to practice these kind of hard difficulty beatmaps, then go onto insanes. Thank you for linking them, they are a good starting point for me.

I see what you mean, it's just that the hard maps I've been doing recently were giving barely 5-6 pp, but after some suggestions from others above I've seen that there are many more hard maps I could/should be doing. I guess I'll just practice insanes occasionally, as it should help in the long run.

For the record, I do like to play this game for fun, but I set myself a target to rank up a certain amount per day, until I get to around ~50k.

Do that. I kinda regret not picking up Insane earlier.

Try Lifetheory - Daisy (bud) gave me 45pp for 93% FC.

but you don't need to 'transition' to insanes and only play insanes. Play songs with a variety of difficulties; play easier songs and try to full combo them with good acc, and play hard songs that are a challenge to even pass which will help increase your speed.

Don't look at PP, just play the game and sometimes play insanes. One day something will click and you will be able to stream/aim better and you will get better from one day to another (at least that's how it usually worked for me).

and type in approach rates (AR=) and official diff. (OD=) you are comfortable with.

Ex. AR=7 OD=8

Download a lot of maps and sort by difficulty, and then work your way up the list.
