Back to mod the Youthful difficulty after I saw the update xd

00:13:616 I would put slider 2 to 00:13:684 (and hitcircle 3 together with it) because the spaces between slider 1 and 2 are too big for this timing.
00:32:979 I suggest to change the starting place of slider 3 a little bit more to the inside.

You may want to reduce the size of the video since the size of the beatmap is past 24 Mb now and it needs to be beneath 24 Mb to get ranked.

It looks good to me so far, keep up the good work!

Back to mod the Youthful difficulty after I saw the update xd

Especially with sliders, all I did to change it was to make it look more neat by moving that slider a bit.

Little note, for this map to meet ranking criteria the lowest difficulty must be bellow 2 stars. So I suggest you make Dried Up easier or map an easier difficulty.

00:02:979 (3,4) - Remove (4) and extend (3) so its on the white tick and makes it a little easier.
00:13:343 (3,1) - Make slider (1) on the same level as (3). Its looks and flows nicer.
00:15:525 (3) - Tilt this slider up more
00:31:888 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I'm not hitsound expert but I don't think all these claps are really necessary. If you want to keep them lower the volume of the hitsounds.
00:40:070 (6) - How about moving this note out a bit? You can make a triangular flow with the next slider.
00:41:161 (2) - Tilt this slider down a bit.
00:43:343 (3,4,5) - tilt slider (3) down a tiny bit and move (4) down 1 unit so it looks nicer.

00:29:570 (2,3) - Someone said to me that this isn't really recommended because it breaks the flow. Why not try this.
00:31:616 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,1) - Please lower the volume a bit more (65% maybe)... my ears are bleeding T^T
00:38:843 (4) - This (4) does not belong here
00:56:979 (1,2,3) - Move (3) over to the right more to make a better triangle. Flows nicely to the next not as well.
01:23:298 (1,2,3) - Not liking this overlapping, consider revising.

  1. I see what you did with the difficulty names, but according to the ranking criteria they have to be indicative of their relative difficulty in a way that makes sense (except for the hardest difficulty). The most common is Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane, but Dried Up, Youthful, Fame is a bit of a stretch. You could push it forward longer but be aware that when the time to rank comes, the BAT's may ask you to change them.
  2. Tags are for words related to the song that aren't already in the other metadata fields. Since all of your tags appear somewhere else in the metadata, they don't need to and shouldn't be in tags. Please add things like "iwatobi swim club" (part of English title), "s2" (season 2), and "kyoani" and "kyoto animation".
  3. You should map an Easy difficulty, which would make your mapset much more favorable. Not having the Easy is a sign of laziness on your part, and doesn't look good to people. Only slow songs can have Normal-Hard or Easy-Normal-Hard mapsets, and faster ones will always have Easy-Normal-Hard-Insane. Normal-Hard-Insane doesn't happen because the song can support an Easy.
[Dried up]
  1. increase OD and HP drain to about 4.
  2. 00:00:798 (1,2) - increase distance snap or change pattern in a way so that these don't overlap
  3. 00:43:343 (3,4,5) - not exactly lined up, try angling the slider a little lower
  4. 00:55:343 (6,7,8,9,1) - excessive stacking can prove confusing
  5. 00:57:934 (2) - remove this circle, since it doesn't follow the music or vocals
  6. 00:59:570 (6,8) - 01:00:252 (7,1) - this whole part is confusing because of overlaps like this, please keep objects separated and overlap sparingly to make things simpler
  7. 01:20:707 (1,2,3) - never stack a circle between two sliders in normal like this, they can't read it
This map's star rating is of a normal, but some parts look like a hard. Try to use fewer techniques like stacking or overlapping.

[Youthful]
  1. 00:04:207 (2) - also map the two ticks before it to follow the music better
  2. 00:08:979 (1,1) - blanket
  3. 01:00:661 (3,4,5,6) - make this a little neater, like less overlapping
  4. 01:14:843 (3,4) - copy/paste to make these parallel
[Fame]
  1. 00:03:116 (2,4) - make these parallel (use copy/paste) to be neater

  3. 00:25:752 (4) - the flow from the previous object is awkward. it's much better to ctrl-g and also maybe put this on the other slide of the circle it's blanketing
  4. 00:36:116 (4) - keep following the strong beat on the white ticks, it sounded awkward when you suddenly switched to follow vocals after following the instruments earlier
  5. 00:36:116 (4,5) - blanket is a little far in the middle
  6. 00:43:343 (5,6,7,8,1) - the later notes aren't exactly in a straight line, try to line them together
  7. 00:54:388 (3,4,5,6,7) - kind of hard to read the second part because it's stacked
  8. 00:56:707 (6,1) - make the middle slider point closer for blanket
  9. 01:02:434 (3,5) - ^
  10. 01:04:479 (2) - all those slider points are unnecessary
  11. 01:15:116 (2) - this area would be better mapped with 1/4 beats, since the music notes are 1/4
Remember that this song is extremely fast. 220 BPM is even higher than Brynhildr in the Darkness's 218, and even in the insane/extra the mapper avoided too big or too many 1/2 note jumps, preferring to keep most of his 1/2 circle jumps in a line or other simple pattern. It's really hard (much harder than a 5 star map should be) to play the jumps at this high BPM, so try to use fewer of them.

Overall, work on neatness and conforming to difficulty standards, since some parts are inconsistent with what is expected of their difficulty. Good luck!

I'm still kinda new to modding, so take this any way you want. If you feel my mods and suggestions are wrong or weird, please provide feedback and tell me why so i can improve. I did my best to provide an explanation for my mods, i hope they help!

General

1- Okay, i saw how you had your custom difficulty names without the specific difficulty in it...(sorry, weird wording), so you had to change it. but I'm pretty sure you're allowed to have both: the level of difficulty and the name you want to give it. So for example: "Easy - Dried up" , "Hard - Youthful" , and "Insane - Fame" (putting that there for consistency) should all be acceptable names.
Easy

1- 00:04:207 (4) - This felt really awkward to me, i know there's the guitar strum there and that there should be a note there, but I feel that there should be something leading up to it and maybe a note right after. I suggest changing it to something like this: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1927925 You can change the slider shapes however you want, but as long as they're still on the ticks in the screenshot. The first slider allows for the guitar strum to be played out here 00:04:070 - , while introducing the new beat of the primary guitar that plays at 00:04:616 - and 00:04:888 -
2- 00:08:434 (1) - Pretty short spinner for an easy difficulty, i suggest making it at least a half a measure longer, although that's still pushing it... If you arn't going to extend the spinner by at least a measure, you should reduce the overall difficulty to about 3.
3- 00:30:116 (1) - Another short spinner, make it longer or reduce OD.
4- 00:44:434 (1) - Another spinner
5- 00:48:252 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,1,2) - This entire segment is rather difficult for a easy difficulty. I believe the increased slider velocity was necessary for the song, as well as where the notes are on the timeline. But the general placement of notes is very overlapping (pretty hard to read) and jumpy. Examples below:
A)- 00:49:752 (3,4,5,6,7) - Lots of sharp turns and overlap that are put with the increased slider velocity is a bit much for this difficulty. I suggest reworking it to be more readable.
B)- 00:53:161 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Super jumpy and difficult for an easy difficulty. The 1.3x distance snap is too much imo. You should reduce the spacing and rework this part.
C)- 00:59:161 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - Extremely difficult to read for an easy difficulty, Please rework this part.
6- 01:16:207 (1) - Have this flow into 01:16:207 (1) - better
7- 01:19:343 (1) - For the sake of consistency, make the end of this slider be on top of this slider: 01:19:752 (2) -
8- 01:24:798 (1) - Short spinner

Hard

1- 00:13:616 (2) - Make the shape of this note the same as 00:13:343 (1) - and make it symmetrical across this note: 00:13:888 (3) - (to provide a type of pattern)

Fame (i can barely play 5 star maps, so im just giving a single suggestion) (I really only did two difficulties, so if you only want to mod two on my map, i believe that's fair(not suggesting that I want you to do that though D:)).

00:59:434 (2) - Have this be more on top of 00:59:707 (3) - . Extremely difficult the way it is right now and almost a guaranteed combo break.

In all, its been mapped very well (not a big fan of Shoujo's though .-.), just a lot of parts that seem to exceed the difficulty it should be. (Hard does not feel like a 3 star map, probably due to the high BPM, maybe compensate with easier sections?) I really hope this mod helped you, i wish you the best of luck at getting this map ranked!

I think I can give it a shot. I'm not an experienced mapper but I would like to try something if you would like that.
(I don't exactly know what GD means but I think it isn't that important here, I hope :? )
