quality of writing - 25% - this includes both a generally applied quality (how many crappy copypaste tropes do i see? are the actions of the characters realistic compared to their motivations?) and genre-specific quality (is this comedy funny? does it feel like these romance characters are actually in love, and for good reason? is the fighting in an action anime actually interesting and not just redundant laser spam?)
characters - 25% - do i like these dudes? if not, are they at least realistic/do they at least serve their purpose well? (i.e. if a character is supposed to be a terrible person and i hate them, they are well written)
visuals + audio - 15% - yeah i really don't care i still play super mario 64 and think it has cutting edge graphics
personal enjoyment - 35% - the most important part. did i have fun? in fact, did i have so much fun that i can easily rewatch it? if the anime is bad, sometimes the personal enjoyment rating will be high if it made me laugh for all the wrong reasons
