I didn't even know it existed until I saw the trailer for season 2 earlier today, I'm currently on episode 10 and I think it should be classed as an anime because it's not like it's for small children or anything like most western cartoons. I'll probably finish season 1 in the next hour or two before I go to sleep, but up to now I would rate it a 7/10. The music is awesome but the animation is a bit iffy sometimes. And I am definitely going to watch the second season.

Where do you even watch the first season? I cant find proper stream or DL sites for it... and the offical site is down appatently. n_n

Edit: With subtitles of couse.

roosterteeth only hosts videos on their site for a limited time. normally each season gets cleared off when the next season is close to being released

Checked there already, they say they have the subtitles but they actually dont. :V

The youtubes are only subtitled to EP3...

Can someone please explain the hype of RWBY to me? I just don't get it. From the bad writing to the horrendous animation and limited fight choreography, I just...don't get it. Just would like to hear a counter-argument that isn't just "ITS AWESOME'.

EDIT: I'm not really trying to be combative, just would like to understand the hype from the perspective of someone who enjoys it.

Well it's more like we are excited for roosterteeth's new thing. Roosterteeth never did animation, So we are excited to see how it turns out.

Anyway, I suppose you could say a significant part of the hype is the fact that it's a Roosterteeth production and also an almost full-3D anime-esque show which most of Roosterteeth's audience have never seen before. It's simply fresh and interesting for them and they're hyped to see how it progresses.

And I don't see anything particularly bad about the fight scenes, though I don't know another 3D show to compare with which brings me back to the above point

I think i've watched the one where they choose the outfit for velvet, I think it was a community contest other than that no, but now I know what im gonna do for the next 15-20 minutes. ;)

i quite like the new outfit for Velvet. kinda cool the community got to pick the outfit. i wonder if they do more things like that in the future

I found it interesting how it originally was blue in contrast to all the other brows submissions (didn't quite like it for that reason, actually), then Monty changed it to brown anyway
