Only Mech animes that Ilike up till now is Gurren Lagann and Valvrave the Liberator.

My eyes are full of innocence back then
the combination of comedy and slice of life
it's not that i dislike the idea of it more than i used to (if a new SoL/com anime comes out and i like it, it's instantly going on my favorites list), it's more because i realized that there are so few anime that pull off this combination well
lay on the comedy too heavily and it just looks like they're trying too hard (unless it's legitimately very funny, which is rare), lay on the SoL too heavy and i just fall asleep
gotta strike the perfect balance

Romance has just gone full retard now. Most of the time it's romance with slice of life but without the romance. It's not like I dislike it because Kawaisou is "ok" but seeing it too many times gets boring. Same to harem. Light novels please die.
