To be quite frank, that'd sooner belong in OT than in GD, given the random manner you posted it in. Oh well, whatever....

Mania is actually quite good, at least compared to the cancerous Taiko. Standard still beats Mania but just barely, and CtB isn't even worthy of discussion.

I used to play mania during my first 2 months or so. Back then, I thought standard was stupid. But when I got better at mania, I have to learn 5k, 6k, and 7k. Sadly, my keyboard doesn't allow me play those key modes properly (Key Rollover stuff, I'm sure everybody who main as mania player know about it). And getting a better keyboard was (and still) out of the question. I can just play at 4k, but I don't like it. But I still play mania for fun/when bored.

I sometimes play mania... but im not good at it and anything above 5k confuses my fingers...

Mania is actually good i wont lie

Mania is pretty hard to master especially the 7k's and the 5k's

So that's why people intentionally avoid it.

TL;DR - Mania is too hard of a Gamemode, accuracy and timing is a must here

I played DDR years ago, Stepmania with a PS2 Control more recently. Used L/R buttons(from guitar hero '-'. I have a real guitar, using a plastic guitar feels so... meh) and X for center (5k, or what it's called there)

Right now I only have a cheapo keyboard and a Xbox360Controller.
Maybe I could use the Face Buttons + L/R to go up to 6k, but I don't want to use it for heavy mashing

Bar that, It looks interesting, but I'd prefer the "arrows" look a bit more...

I don't play mania because this is too different from StepMania physics and I'll wonder why I got a 200.

Too lazy to learn a whole new mode. Maybe if it appeared at the same time as other modes, yup, but it was released later on so nope

I played mania for a while (got to about rank 4000 or something)
But I realized that my laptop keys suck for playing mania so I played standard.

I tried but can never get use to it like Osu, Taiko, and CTB .

Tried playing some mania today.My eyes hurt and I felt dizzy after 5-10 minutes of playing.

Same with you, I cant even play with 4k too. Lol, it's a kind of hard.
