Hello and welcome to the osu! quest for glory tournament. This has been something I've been thinking of hosting for some time now and now I'm finally putting it together.

Rules for entry:

Absolutely any rank is accepted!
No region requirement
tournament bracket will be based on GMT - 7:00

When registering simply PM me your osu! username. I will send you confirmation that you've been registered ASAP

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

Qualifier format is being changed due to time constants, Ro16 forwards will be held as planned, details will be released later today.

Easy? good.

First the tournament will be played as a lottery based round robin where everyone will play random matches and every map within those maps will award a point to the winner, no tiebreakers or eliminations in this stage. after 2-3 matches per player the bracket will be broken down the the closest base 2 possible (2,4,8,16,32,etc.) depending on how many entrants I get. after that it will be a basic single elimination tournament.

This Tournament will be live streamed through multiple channels on twitch.tv.

the tournament is scheduled to begin on June 30th and run a round every week as convenient for players and casters alike, tournament will run throughout the month of July.

Remember times posted are based on GMT - 7:00 please figure out what time your match is in your respective time zones as they are different world wide.

I know all ranks are accepted in this tournament, but those maps you mentioned are not for #10000.
I dont think they are even for #5000

The maps posted as examples are markings of the highest difficulty the maps ever hit, only used in the finals match, besides that passing is not a requirement to win, you simply need to outlast your opponent

Ok as we're coming close to the closing or Registration Map Pools are being finished and will be released in a couple of days, the Qualifier pool will be released on closing and the elimination brackets will be released 2 days before they are played. Tournament format will be a lottery Qualifier on Monday, followed by One elimination match per player each day through the week having the final and loser matches on the Friday. Now the tournament formatting is different in that almost no time will be given to practice the map pools ahead of time as they will be released 48 hours prior to the match they will be played in with the next pool opened 24 hours after the last. I hope everyone has some interesting strategies in taking on this spontaneous bracketing. Good Luck, you'll need it!

I hope this isn't a problem but there have been unfortunate circumstances recently and I will be moving the date one day forwards due to family issues, I'm sorry for any inconvenience, times will remain the same.

Plz. Most of us haven't even played the first match yet and there's still been like 3 changes. Can you offer more stability in the upcoming weeks?

MST and MDT are different things. If you actually do live in MST, a location that does not use daylight saving, the time is the same. If you made a mistake and instead mean MDT, a location that does use daylight saving, your time will be one hour later than the PDT equivalent (15:00/3:00PM).
You should probably be on by 14:30/2:30PM if you live in MDT.

Tomorrow doesn't really work for me, I have two jobs and work from 07:00 to 21:00 PDT on Tuesdays, so unless it can be after 21:00 I'll need my match moved. Wednesday is a day off so any time then should work for me.

Well, 21:00 PDT is like 6 in the morning for me. and that's the time when most I definately won't be online, sorry.

Earlier than 7:00PDT is still fine with me though...

I apologize for the inconsistency issues recently but the staff have been having technology issues in recent times, the times are much more secured and i can promise stability in upcoming rounds however much of the setup for qualifiers was poorly done and much was accomplished at the last minute, I apologize again for inconsistencies, if you need to reschedule please contact your opponent and both of you PM with a time that better suits you both, good luck.
