1. Why did you start playing osu!mania?

A friend introduced this to me. It looked fun, although the main reason was because I was confused by osu!standard.

1. I came for standard, hated it, then found that there was a few more modes, namely mania. I thought it was a cool spin off of Guitar Hero, which I played since 2007, and the rest is history.
2. 4k is my favorite, but if given a Guitar Hero controller, I could dominate 5k.
3. Standard DFJK
4. I played my first mania song on like September-December 2014, but actively started playing on like January 2015.
5. My favorite is probably Bangin` Burst novice lvl 9 by Spy because it was the first map I really felt accomplished playing.
6. I like stairs and trills.
7. I like solo b/c you gt infinite retries :)
8. My favorite player is Staiain, but I like jhlee`s godly plays too.
9. My favorite mapper is Spy because I gained tens of thousands of places thanks to him.
10. I like ranked maps better, but some unranked maps just don`t get the attention they deserve to get ranked.
11. I like it, but the ranked mappool could use some more variety (RANK MOAR STUFF!)

It's been 2 months since I started playing o!m, so I thought I would do this again, considering I'm now a pro!

1. Why did you start playing osu!mania?
I switched from Guitar Hero to osu! as my go-to game. I knew that there was a 'Guitar Hero gamemode', but I didn't know what it was called. I found out it was osu!mania and now I get to have the best of both worlds.

2. What is your favorite keymode?
4k or 5k. I have yet to encounter 2k or 3k, but they sound alright.
4k. I still love 7k, 6k, and 5k, though.

3. What is the layout of your favorite keymode?
Standard. (DF JK) (DF JKL)
4k = XC ,.
5k = XC M,.
6k = QWE JKL
7k = QWER JKL

4. How long have you been playing osu!mania? (not including other games)
About a week.
2 months.

5. Which osu!mania song do you like the most?
Sedap Malam and Utakata, Ai no Mahoroba are my current favorites.
I love Blue Army and End Time. Those are unranked, though. I don't really have any ranked favorites.
I still like SM and UAnM.

6. What is your favorite type of patterning?
Not sure.
I think stairs. I still don't really know the names of patterns yet, even though I have been playing for 2 months.

7. Do you prefer to play in multiplayer or solo?
Solo.
Not striked because this is still true. I do sort of like playing multiplier, though. Gives me a chance to try to new maps.

8. Who is your favorite osu!mania player?
I don't know. I just play the game.
Jhlee, Staiain, Etienne, HNC_yk, Tokiiwa, and -Halogen.


9. Who is your favorite osu!mania mapper?
I don't know. I just play the game.
I'm pretty sure it's Spy. There are some others that I've seen very frequently, though.

10. Do you like to play unranked or ranked maps?
I was going to say ranked, but I think I like unranked better. Unranked is just for practicing and it helps me get better so I can play ranked maps and get better accuracy and more pp so I can level up.
I like ranked a little better now. Only because it makes me level up. Unranked maps are usually harder and more fun, though.

11. Do you like osu!mania? :)
Nope. I absolutely hate it. It's the worst thing I've ever played.

A game that I play with a ranking system seemed pretty cool, so I decided to try it out. Also to mess with the community a bit, previously going under the alias 'Staiainfangirl', lololol.

This game specifically, about a year or so. Been playing 4k for around eight years on and off though.

Anything that's fast and doesn't suck, lol.

Not quite sure. Too many to pick from.

MP is dead for mania so solo

1. Because it's fun.
Really, it's much better than the other modes where you can easily get frustrated if you miss a circle or some grapes.

2. 4k and 7k (enjoy each in different way, can't say I enjoy which more).
7+1 is good too but I need some help with skinning if I want to play that >.< and too lazy to ask for help.

3. WER space IOP for 7k, ERIO for 4k.
Default too low for me. One row up feels much better.

4. About 6 months.
o!m is my first vsrg.

5. Tough question. There are so many songs that are cool in different ways.

6. I don't know any type of patterns lol XD probably streams and bursts?

7. Solo.

8. Any player that are nice and enjoy game to the fullest :D

9. Lieselotte and Rumia in 7k, Spy and Tidek in 4k.

10. Both. But mostly ranked as i don't know much unranked maps my level XD

11. I really enjoy it as my first vsrg. But i'll also try other rhythm games in the future. O2Jam and SM maybe? :D

Eh, like 11 days? Played for a couple of days way back when I started, so I'd say around 15 days in total.

Mostly heavy metal stuffs, with the random hardcore/breakcore/gabber song thrown in the mix. Too bad there ain't much ranked 4k metal songs :/

Single streams, rolls and mini jacks.

Solo, haven't played a single game of multiplayer.

At this moment, I like to play 4k; however, I've been interested in getting into 7k and osu standard. I probably will start 7k before osu standard.

It varies.

Approximately 1 month.

I currently do not have a favorite song in this game.

Anything that doesn't have a severe case of long notes. I still can't master the concept.

Depends on the mood I suppose. Sometimes I like playing with the presence of others, and sometimes I play in solo mode.

There are some things in the mechanics that I would personally change; however, if I didn't like the game, I wouldn't be still hanging around. :)

My friend invited me. At the first time, it was boring because my old pc doesn't support audio, so I was playing in a silent mode, but after a long time, I bought a new pc and started to play normally, and I knew that this game can increase my typing skill and also my reflect skill.

2. What is your favourite keymode?
4k, 6k. I hate pressing the "space", that's why I'm suck at 5k or 7k.

I registered in 2014, but for my osu gameplay, it's like 3 months.

i started like a year and a half ago, but I didn't really try to get good until about a year ago, and I haven't played osumania fulltime during that time so idk

multi but nobody in multi can ever seem to play anythig higher than 180 bpm js so I'm stuck in sp most of the time

I'm really not sure, I don't REALLY pay attention to the mappers unless it's important.

I was going to say ranked, but I think I like unranked better. Unranked is just for practicing and it helps me get better so I can play ranked maps and get better accuracy and more pp so I can level up.
I like ranked a little better now. Only because it makes me level up. Unranked maps are usually harder and more fun, though.
Ranked. Unranked maps seem to be unranked for a reason, but some are alright.

Nope. I absolutely hate it. It's the worst thing I've ever played.

2. 4K and 6K - I'm learning how to use both thumbs for 5K and 7K but it's taking a while ._.

1. I wanted something that was kinda like my Guitar Hero/Rock Band comfort zone -- I knew about osu! since a few years ago, but never actually played until very recently. I actually found out that osu! had a mania mode from a Staiain video.

5. Rissyu - uni, The Quick Brown Fox - Big Money, pretty much anything that's been on SDVX (Bangin' Burst in particular)

10. Mostly ranked, but I have quite a few weird unranked maps (The Italian Crack Job sticks out as a specific).
