For simple cuts and fades you should try not to re-encode if at all possible. Programs like audacity or sony vegas re-encode every time you export, but if you use something like mp3DirectCut you can apply simple edits (such as cuts and fades) without re-encoding at all. Pretty useful if the source file you get is 192 kbps or lower.

even between the same format at the same data-rate, if you re-encode there is some (albeit small) degradation in quality.

I cutted the first "thing" :p but keep in mind that the new mp3 is shorter (because I cutted it), it means you have to re-time the map.

Ah, don't worry about it, I will just use the current file. I need it to match the video, so the FLAC will do, it doesnt sound bad. but I posted here in the hopes that maybe you had a source for the mp3s that I didnt know of. but it looks like that wasnt the case.

ok, kakifly.. I have searched the whole net. I can't find the song in good quality, so I will leave this request to somone else. Im very sorry, this happens when most of the writings are in kanji. The loudness is high enough, the quality is 192kbps which is fine. If your talking about quality of what you hear, then I can probably understand what you mean, but I don't think it's necessary. I am terribly sorry, but I had a sudden break with osu! and I forgot to post "Closed". Since it's over 11 months ago you requested this, I asume you've already got the bitrate lowered.
