General
  1. I think your timing may be slightly off. It might not be very noticeable at the start of the map, but it definitely becomes evident with your hitsounds at around 00:49:183. I also tested it in edit quite a few times and I got an average of at least 10ms too early! Therefore, I suggest you move your offset back a bit. Well I'm no expert at timing but I tried to find a better one for you. Quick tip though; when you're trying to time and the map doesn't start right at the start of the song, use a prominent beat (i.e. where your first note is placed) to really nail down the offset. Using your first note in your Lunatic diff 00:15:168 (1), I managed to get an offset of 15150. This is 18 ms earlier than your previous offset and works heaps better in my opinion. Try it out!

I'll be using your previous timing when making some suggestions :)

  1. OD8? Geez meanie... If I were you I'd decrease it by at least 1, since you've mapped this song like it is truly 127 bpm. Nothing wrong with that, but it seems a more lenient OD would be more fitting.
  2. 00:23:672 (4,5,6) - The flow could be slightly improved coming off from 00:23:435 (3). To do this, decrease the angle a bit; it will play much nicer.
  3. 00:24:026 (5,6) - Try to make sure that these notes are nicely stacked under the slider head. Temporarily disable grid snap by toggling it or holding shift to make it perfect.
  4. 00:28:160 (1) - Why not stack it on 00:27:215 (3)? Could be nice aesthetically, and it won't change how it plays. Also blanket these 00:27:215 (3,4) if you do change it.
  5. 00:31:940 (1) - I think you should increase the spacing of this slider from the previous note and also make it higher on the y-axis. Since you have a stack on 00:31:585 (5,6), you essentially have a pause on the one position; having to go underneath to enter the next slider 00:31:940 (1) is quite uncomfortable to play. So basically, if you just increase the spacing and move it a little it'll be nice :3
    Maybe something like this:
    Symmetry might work. I used 1.3x spacing.
  6. 00:35:364 (4,5) - Why not make this a nice curve to follow on from the slider?
    I also made a blanket with 00:35:719 (1).
  7. 00:48:829 (4) - Remove clap? It is quite a short dull sound here, so I think just a whistle by itself will suffice.
  8. 00:48:947 (5) - There is actually no sound in the song to support a note here, well not to me anyway! I suggest you remove it. In fact, I believe you could do something really cool here. Since there is a sound at 00:49:065 instead, maybe try make a slider from 00:48:829 (4) to 00:49:065. You could even reduce the slider velocity slightly to give effect to the long vocal and lead-in to where the snares pick up right after it 00:49:183.
  9. 00:53:553 (3) - This note seems really out of place, especially following from a 1/2 spam. I suggest you move it forward to 00:53:672 and adjust the spacing accordingly.
  10. 00:53:790 (4) - Remove? I cannot hear anything to warrant a note here...
  11. 00:54:498 (9) - Same here! orz
  12. 01:11:861 - aaaa this part in the storyboard is really well executed~ Love it! haha, get it? heh.. sorry ;w;
  13. 01:14:931 (11) - Make the 1/2 gap in the timeline more obvious in the play area. Where it's placed right now makes it look like it's part of 01:14:459 (8,9,10). Either move it further away, or make the anti-jump more obvious by moving it and placing a new combo on it.
  14. 01:48:947 (5,1) - This could do with a nice blanket - a bit of restructuring.
  15. 01:54:498 (4,5) - Some more potential flow improvement here. Make (5) more to the left of its current position and under (4), as to continue the curve created by these 2 notes.
  16. 01:56:388 - I kinda feel there needs to be a note here to account for that lyric. Since you have a stack here 01:56:506 (4,5), it can be sort of misleading when you play it, as you're unsure whether there is isolation of the vocals or not. Perhaps make a slider from 01:56:388 to 01:56:506? It might fix this problem.
  17. 01:56:624 (5) - This is a nice emphasis of the vocal, but why is the volume only 5% ? That's unnecessarily low... if anything it should be the same volume as the previous or greater! ;w;
  18. 02:18:002 (1,2,3,4,5) - I noticed you copy and pasted this section from a the previous one, but you could try to be a bit more creative as to make a move powerful ending to your map! How about something similar to this:
    I made that funny slider with 1.5x sv to follow the guitar bend and the way it points down to the final note gives it added emphasis. Try out various patterns and slider shapes, I'm sure you could do better!

Ahh, that's all from me. Similar things regarding ghost notes, hitsounds etc can be applied in the lower diffs. All my opinions/suggestions feel free to take them on board or not.

Pretty nice map set you have there, just be sure to get a timing check or something to ensure the timing is 100% accurate.

  5. 01:11:842 - 01:15:622 - Another very unnatural break. Please map this part. The reason is the same as what I said in the Easy diff.
  6. 01:23:181 (1,2) - Objects that are spaced by 1/4 beats at this BPM in a Normal diff is not allowed, as it is considered too much for typical Normal players. Please find a way to reduce the complexity of the pattern here. (Applies to everything like this.)
  7. Talking about the kiai time again: Why is the spacing really inconsistent? It can be 1.0x sometimes, but it can be also 1.1x. This is noticeable and may confuse players, plus the inconsistency will make everything look messy. Please make it consistent.

  3. 00:45:386 (1,3) - ^ (It's okay if a circle or slider only touches the head or tail of a slider, but it'll look weird if they touch the body. Please avoid this in all your diffs and maps!)
  4. 01:11:843 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - This pattern is just impossible to read properly due to how you placed the objects, especially the way you spaced them. Try to find a better pattern.
  5. 01:20:819 (3,4,1) - I don't recommend to do something like this, where 01:20:819 (3,4) are spaced as if they had 1/2 beats of gap while it's actually 1/4. It can get quite confusing in a Hard diff. Please make them consistent. (Applies to similar patterns.)
  6. 01:31:449 (3,4) - While this technically follows the instruments correctly, there is a far stronger instrument accompanied by a syllable of the lyrics at 01:32:157, which feels weird to be skipped. I think you should reconsider this rhythm...
  7. 01:43:614 (4,1) - And yeah, you should really avoid such a 1/4 jump in a Hard diff. 127 BPM is still considered pretty average, so a 1/4 jump can be considered too much for a Hard diff.

  1. Use AR8. Trust me on this; AR9 is way too fast for such a map. AR8.3-8.5 is nice too, but don't go beyond 8.5. I've read your opinion on this:
    Rejected. I don't understand why I should change it to AR8 because there are many insane songs around 127bpm that has AR9.
    After reading that, I just want to say this: This is your map, not others' map whose maps fit with AR9, and with the way you mapped this, AR9 just won't do well.
  2. 00:26:488 (8) - If you're following the lyrics in placing the NCs, I think you should NC this too.

I recommend you to take another look at this section and maybe try to make the rhythm more consistent, plus try to make a nicer structuring of objects and patterns. - it's not sudden.. the spinner leads into the chorus section of the song where a change in spacing is acceptable. maintaining a 1.0 spacing with what I have there is unreasonable. It will be too far spaced out. How about providing example of how you would structure it? You keep talking about it but I don't know what you mean. Even if I try to map inbetween what I already have, it will become too hard for an Easy difficulty. I don't know how to keep polarity/syncopation without using too many 1/2, 1/4 notes. Yet it's hard to avoid repetition when trying to not use too many 1/2, 1/4 notes

00:15:622 (1) - Way too soon after a spinner for an Easy. You want to give around 4 beats of recovery time. You might be best off either ending the spinner at 00:15:622 - or just deleting the circle
00:19:283 - Add a silent soft-sliderslide2.wav so that you can't hear the slider track during these custom ticks.
Felt rather slider heavy. Otherwise this was alright.

[Normal]
00:15:622 (1) - This also is too soon after a spinner for a Normal. It'll usually be halved recovery time from the Easy, so 2-3 beats would be preferable for this level of difficulty. That said, this might be similar to Easy in that just removing beats until 00:17:512 (1) - or so would work best if you want to keep the spinner.
02:02:394 (5) - Slider end is unsnapped

[Hard]
01:22:236 (2) - This slider shape is a little odd
02:17:984 (1,2) - Was strange to have these stacked. I guess you were going for emphasis for the final parts of the song, but then following up with the regular spacing at 3, it just felt out of place over anything else.

  1. As said on IRC, nuke soft-hitclap.wav and use soft-hitclap2.wav

    Warning: after you do this, you will not need to use S:C2 on Lunatic, Hard and Normal at all. Remove unnecessary offsets, since all you use them for is swtching between C1 and C2. Then remove also all the C2 files except for soft-slidertick2.wav, because Mako's Easy uses it!

  2. I think there are tiny mistakes in lyrics that could be corrected:
    1. e0-2: "Their numberless calculations really are ingenious [comma missing] aren't they?"
    2. e0-9, e1-7 and e2-7 have "i" instead of a capital I ("i like things to be overdecorated"), is this intended?
  3. 01:49:638 is a perfect moment for a fountain
  4. Move the offset to 00:00:031. It won't break snapping, but the cookie in osu!'s main menu will pulse right when the music starts

  8. 01:15:386 (12) - the fact that you skipped the very next downbeat to follow vocals can be masked if you start the spinner right after the note. Do so!
  9. 01:20:701 (4) - you skipped a strong beat there, and the slider sounds like it's not following anything (and it really doesn't). It could be better if you start it on 01:20:819; remove 01:21:055 (5) - but keep the blue tick at 01:21:173 busy, if you wish. Don't forget to connect the sliders if you do so
  10. 01:22:590 (4) - pretty much the same. This slider starts nowhere; fix this by moving it 1/4 forward and also shortening by 1/4
