I had this map in my head a long time now.
It's something I've been planning for a while, and it's finally finish.
Storyboard included, so enjoy this as much as I did. x3

As I made changes from both Railgun and Everest, both receive kiai.

Please use the distance snap tool and pretty much redo your map with this option turned on. It will give you a general idea on how spacing is done properly and make it a LOT readable during gameplay. Once you learn the distance snapping basics, you can branch out and try new things like starting a new pattern without distance snapping. You don't have to strictly follow the distance snapping but it's recommended since you are not yet familiar with this, being a newer mapper and all. But by all means, be creative with your work.

Here are just a few major distance spacing errors I saw just to give you an idea. I won't go through everything since there's a huge number of spacing errors throughout the map.


  1. 00:06:137 (1,2,3) - What's with the sudden change in spacing? It would be better if it was spaced out farther like the previous combos.
  2. 00:09:066 (5,6,7) - This is a big No. It looks like these could be hit at an even pace due to the spacing, however 6 and 7 are 1/4 notes on the timeline and not 1/2 notes. Move 7 closer to 6.
  3. 00:16:801 (5,6) - Since there's a slight pause here, you need to make an indicator that there is a pause. Kind of like moving these farther away, for example.
  4. 00:41:058 (8,9) - These need to be farther away. As you can see at 00:39:887 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - these are 1/4 notes and yet you have 00:41:058 (8,9) - which look like 1/4 notes but are actually 1/2 notes.
  5. 00:50:433 (1,2,3,4) - Move this pattern farther away from the end of the previous combo. 2,3 need to be closer together, etc.
Many of these issues can be fixed with the use of distance snap being enabled.

Now for the rest of the map:

  1. 01:03:324 (3,4,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1,1,2,3) - These patterns that have the long pauses. I understand that you are going with a certain beat but I'd expect that from a lower difficulty. You can fill in these empty gaps with more notes if you want.
  2. 01:21:019 (1) - From here on until 01:44:926 (2), more than half of your notes are off beat. If it's not a small 1/4 stream or doesn't start on a white or red tick mark, it's probably wrong. Switch to the 1/2 beat snap divisor and move these notes appropriately on the timeline.

tl;dr
The spacing is really sporadic and needs to be fixed through the use of the distance snap tool.

Some cool patterns I noticed:

01:17:387 (1,2,1,2) - Much creative.
02:43:637 (1,2,1,2) - Such nostalgic.

I hope this helps a bit on what needs to be worked on. It does have potential. Anyways, good luck with your map!

00:48:324 (6) - Flip this vertically so it curves downwards instead of upwards. It's all about the flow.

00:56:293 (6) - This is hidden underneath the previous slider. It's best to move this somewhere else.

01:02:855 (2) - The whistle sound can be placed better at the start of the slider instead of in the middle. Make sure to highlight the start of the slider on the timeline instead so you can put the whistle just at the beginning.

01:33:793 (2) - Move this further away from 1's endpoint so it's evenly spaced with 3 as well.

01:43:051 (1,2,3,1,2) - Highlight all of this and move them over on the timeline so the sliders start on the white ticks. Afterwards, you can shorten 01:44:926 (2) - like the previous sliders.

01:45:746 (1) - Lengthen this spinner by a 1/4 tick so it ends at 01:47:387.

01:48:207 (3,4,5) - I'm not sure that I like how these are placed on the timeline. 5 sounds really bad since it's not actually on a beat. What you can do is move 5 forward by a 1/4 tick so it's on the white tick and place additional notes (red and blue tick) between 4 and 5. Be sure to shorten 5 as well so it ends on the white tick.

02:43:168 (1) - If I remember correctly, notes shouldn't be in the center after a spinner since the hitburst will block the note.

02:47:621 (2,3,4,5) - Probably not a good idea to start randomly adding 1/6 notes. Find a way to create patterns with the 1/4 divisor.

02:49:262 (1,2,3) - ^

02:50:277 (2) - ^

02:52:074 (1,2,3,4,5) - ^

02:54:730 (1,2,3) - ^

02:56:293 (1,2,3,4,5) - Stick to 1/4 on the beat snap divisor and place the notes on the ticks.

03:00:043 (1) - Your slider fell short. Lengthen it a little.

03:05:316 (3) - Delete this note. It goes with nothing.

03:08:012 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - Cool pattern but this is way too insane compared to the rest of your map. Try to make this easier.

03:12:816 (1,2) - The pause here doesn't really flow well with the song.

03:14:457 (2,1) - ^


Note: I'm not so sure the way you used Kiai Time will pass with other people with ranking powers. It's not good to spam it just for the fountains (if it still spews out stars or whatever from the bottom).

  1. I love the storyboard and the concept of this map! Really good work, very nice and original.
  2. I love how the combo colors and kiai go with the storyboard. That's awesome.
  3. Doing a test play with all effects enabled, I passed with this: (the insturmental at 02:47:387 - is where i messed up, maybe that was intended? haha)

  4. Please finish the map's skin~ As per the osu!ranking criteria:
    When skinning gameplay elements, complete sets of elements must be skinned. For instance, if you skin hitcircles, you must include a hitcircle.png, hitcircleoverlay.png, approachcircle.png, and a slider border color (this can be done by adding the line "SliderBorder: 255,255,255" (using RGB values) under the [Colours] section of each .osu file). The same logic applies to hitbursts, cursors, numbers, and anything else of this nature. If you didn't intend to skin an element in the set, then using the templateskin's version is okay. Setting a SkinPreference is also acceptable (e.g. forcing the default skin).
  5. Maybe add some bookmarks to make things more manageable?
[Hallucination]
  1. General: I think some places can use jumps, try alternating between Distance Snap 1.0x and 1.5x. This is optional, and your decision.
  2. 00:05:316 (5,6,7) - Slightly change this pattern so slider 4 flows into it (like you did with 00:06:722 (4,5) - )?
  3. 00:35:785 (3) - This is a cool slider but I'm not sure if it's rankable.
  4. 01:15:512 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,1,2,1,2,3,1,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,1,1,2,1,2,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,1,2,1) - This whole pattern is really great, it has a mix of sliders and circles that go with the music.
  5. 01:32:387 (1,2,3,4) - Want to try making these objects symmetrical? Your preference.
  6. 01:41:996 (1) - Was this improper stack intentional? If not, move it to x:86 y:228 to stack with 01:41:762 (3) -.
  7. 02:54:652 - A slider would fit nicer here.
  8. In general, try using ctrl+c / ctrl+v for the sliders that will look the same. Some other useful shortcuts are Ctrl+G, Ctrl+H, and Ctrl+J. I use those shortcuts numerous times throughout both mapping and modding. Try it and see if you like.
