There are a few things you will notice about this upcoming round's map pool.
For one, you will see that there are three fewer Nomod maps this round. Instead, we have opted to provide a third map for each of the Hidden, Hard Rock, and Doubletime pools, to give you players more flexibility in your choices. As such, the total size of the map pool remains the same (15 maps).
More salient, however, will probably be the sudden (big) increase in difficulty from R3 to R4. Actually, from the very beginning of the tournament, we tried to pick maps that the "average" participant in each round would be able to clear, but probably not FC. However, a quick comparison between the participants of Round 3 and the participants of Round 4 reveals that the "average" skill level has drastically gone up between these two rounds. So, it is only fitting to accompany this with a step up in difficulty. Hopefully these maps will not be too boring for you.
But if they are, don't worry, we'll make things harder. Just make sure to win this round to go on.
I'm just making sure but are there going to be referees available at the time penguinsanez mentioned? It's the earliest I can make it and latest penguin can stay up.
Nijigen Dream Fever has been removed from the hard rock pool for semifinal round. Probably nothing will take its place. Everyone else (RLC) is MIA so I have nobody to discuss an alternative with right now. It's only tuesday, so maybe something else will get added.
