Yep, keep adding sequels till the timeline is so fucked up and convoluted that we can no longer see the series with the same appeal. Do people really think keep going until you 'jump the shark' and ruin a great thing is a good approach to storytelling? I'm super cynical about the whole new steins;gate thing.Apple-san wrote:

I love how Steins;Gate is so self contained and I feel adding a new one will just do what the terminator reboots did for the terminator franchise.
Or the third Madoka film, some things don't need a massive expanded universe.

In my opinion i watched so many animes which left me unsatisfied because it had a bad or open ending or I just want to watch more, for example:
-Btooom!
-Ao Haru Ride
-Sankarea
-Guilty Crown (still hoping for some plot twist 2nd season in my dreams)
-Sakurasou no pet kanojo
-KYOUKAI NO KANATA (i hate it, that i watched the movie, it had a diffrent ending than the anime and I'm so confused ;-;
-Kamisama Hajimemashita 3rd season, just because i like the anime
-Gakuen Alice for sure!!
-Brothers Conflict

I'm so glad so many of my favourite animes have an important portion of the cast die.
Depends on how it's executed though. Too many a Newgrounds character die all too quickly with the story moving on...Green Platinum wrote:

Although having a predominantly dead cast didn't stop Madoka from having that third movie.

Angel beats had a proper ending imo. I agree it deserved more episodes, but a second season would't have much sense. The ending reminds me Elfen lied's one, open interpretation and feelings together, objective acomplished, no need for more.The Gambler wrote:

i just finished watching Hibike!Euphonium. overall it is good, but 13 episodes is not enough imo. there are many rooms for characters development, there is also unfinished business (romance) between the main characters, and also the national competition. ending the anime with winning prefectural competition is just...not cool.
i didn't read the novel but the story feels rushed in the anime and i think it deserves second season to make it all clear (and finish the romance, no matter if it will be normal romance or plot twisted and become Yuri )

AKB0048 needs a THIRD season after we all find out that Nagisa is Acchan the 14th and Chieri becomes the new Center Nova.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou and GOSICK. I would also add Nagi no Asukara but I think the story doesn't quite need a sequel, it might ruin the original one.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni definitely needs a second season.

We can only dream though as I doubt it will get a second or third season.
I insist sequels are decided by lottery a lot of time but I think we will see an attempted higurashi remake before then.

If only the last-contestant ambush in the manga were mentioned in the anime, i think there might be a green-lit for 2nd season..
also I just kind of wanting Gakkou Gurashi to have 2nd season aswell but because the story are somewhat different from what (actually) happens in Manga, so I don't really root for it that much.

Souma definitely deserves a second season. They didn't even finish the arc.
Not sure if Gakkou Gurashi deserves a second though.
