Hi is there a good bpm song finder
yeah if you're starting out on mapping:
if the song you wanna map already exists on the beatmap search, feel free to use the number posted under "bpm" on a sample map.
otherwise just search the bpm online. like "[song name] bpm"
if you try it and it sounds like it works, congrats! your map is timed and song probably falls under the ff. categories:
- anything anime
- most jpop
- mainstream english songs
- 8 bit or game instrumentals
ideally you should find a whole number every time.
if the number isn't whole or if timing sounds uncanny, sorry, because your song probably falls under categories such as:
- some acoustic type shit
- insane classical piano
- some crazy death metal heavy rock genre
- some non-mainstream language song
- other weird stuff
and while doable, it is unadvisable at this point to try and time these otherwise. it's
tedious.
you'll have more fun trying to map instead of doing that.
i've seen posts here and there about individual attempts to develop timing tools, but even assuming they work nicely, it's likely to require some extra audio modification steps from you, with some disclaimers.
ps. in a more general perspective, there's *probably* few to no "universal timing visualizer" out on the internet; just isn't practical. the numbers posted online are given by other musicians or hobbyists. there's just too many troubles in making such an app.
