Easy

  1. i'd consider moving this down to circle size 2 since there's normal and hard also use CS3
  2. all of the other difficulties start at the offset marker while this difficulty starts a bit later. it's not necessarily a problem but inconsistency is kind of weird

  1. kiai time is inconsistent with yauxo's (although i like this one better :3)
  2. might want to end at the same point as yauxo's difficulties
  3. 00:27:557 (7,8,9,1) - these play pretty weirdly since 00:26:685 (6) - is on a white tick and 00:27:557 (7) - is on a red tick. there's nothing indicating it needs to start on the red tick, so i'd say start that on one of 7's surrounding white ticks (i prefer the 1st one)
  4. 00:38:546 (1,2,3) - dat jump. most likely too much for a "hard" difficulty. you've got a similar jump later on with 1.8x DS and i think that may be better, but i really don't think that quiet guitar line justifies something so intense. my opinion is that you should get rid of the jump completely, but i doubt that's convincing enough for you since your map is sort of stylized with the fancy circle size (the guitar thing is also at 00:37:848 (1,2,3) - accompanied by the piano line, but it's not emphasized in the mapping)
  5. 00:46:918 (1,2,3) - really don't see anything to indicate jumps like these here. musically, it sounds exactly the same as the rest of this section.
  6. 00:47:267 (3,1) - only applies if you keep these^ jumps: reading between these two circles can be pretty confusing. it seems like 1 could be a part of the previous jump section due to spacing being almost exactly half that of the jumps. stacking it like you did with the previous jump thing would be best
  7. 00:47:615 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - 01:11:336 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - yeah
  8. 01:21:104 (1) - would be better to have the hitvolume on this be extremely quiet at 01:23:894 - since it's way louder than the piano stuff there

Insane

  1. i won't comment on specific hitsounds, but they're kind of messy in the section before the claps come in at 00:28:080 (1) - that first guitar intro section is also really weird sounding. using some of samah's custom hitsounds may be better, or it could just be their placement.
  2. 00:21:453 - feels rather empty here. there's some bass drum thing repeating on every whole # beat, so there shouldn't be any white ticks ignored (which this one is). i'd just make 5 into a 1/2 slider. if you do that, you might want to reconsider the way you have combos set up so that it resembles 00:18:139 (5,1,2,3,4,1) -
  3. 00:48:662 (2) - SV should be 1x instead of 0.75x here since the "slower" section comes after this
  4. 01:09:591 (4) - apparently this isn't snapped either.
  5. 01:13:604 (2,3,1) - spacing here should be equal. linear pattern where circle in between is closer to one slider than the other looks and plays weirdly

If you're going to spend an entire mod just picking blankets, give me slider code. Blankets don't have to maintain a perfect radius. As long as the start and end circles are the same distance, close enough is good enough. Players won't notice or care.
Thanks for your other suggestions, but I think it plays fine as it is. If you can give me some screenshots of the kind of thing you think would play well, then I'll give it a shot and let you know what I think.

  3. 00:38:546 (1,2,3) - these are especially weird to play because 00:39:069 - is a strong vocal and your sliders mostly also align with some kind of vocal at least, so this way of placing objects may end up frustrating for the player
  4. 00:42:034 (1,2) - this sliderbow could be prettier imo
  5. 01:18:313 (1,2,3) - this sliderbow could be a bit prettier to look at ingame again, because the stack leniency makes the circle be unevenly near to this slider
  6. 01:20:232 (6,7) - this is kinda similar to the case directly above

In Samah's Hard, their Kiai times are off by thiiiis much, make sure to tell them where your Kiai times are, as Kiai time should be consistent throughout all difficulties.

    00:28:080 (1,2) - blanket
    00:30:174 (3) - I suggest turning this slider around, the way you have it now sorta disrupts the flow of the map. Here's how I changed it. I also moved the following slider up for a nice blanket, by doing so the circle and sliders following it need to be readjusted, so I'm not sure you would like to implement this change.
    00:46:220 (3) - move to x:48 y:116
    00:47:267 (4) - x:256 y:212 for symmetry 8^) heck yeah symmetry
    01:04:360 (1,2) - blanket
    01:17:615 (3,1) - blanket

    00:00:174 (1,2,3,4,5) - I would move all of this to the left a little so your 5 and 6 sliders don't overlap, overlapping is a little ugly for me in higher difficulties if it can be avoided
    00:24:941 (10) - new combo, for a nice effect with the singing? I dunno, having a 10 there just feels awkward to me
    00:54:592 (6) - new combo
    01:02:964 (6) - ^
    01:07:150 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - this pattern feels a little boring after you've done it for the second time, maybe you could space out the last 1,2?
[Insane]

  • This difficulty feels a little too easy to fc for me, I suggest spacing out some of you sliders and circles more during Kiai time, and maybe you could also increase sv during Kiai as well. Not a major change, but maybe to something like 1.2?

Tweaked them a bit to make as much sense as the other diffs, not necessarily identical times.
