Trouble with multiple short sliders at higher bpm

I can't do these short slider "streams" for the life of me. I've been told to either ignore the slider or just hold the note briefly like something akin to a freeze note, but when I ignore the sliders I either get a bunch of 100s/50s or slider breaks, and when I try to hold the note briefly I always end up late to the next note. I've tried both single tapping and alternating to little success. I've tried slowing down the song and breaking down the part, seeing if my tablet movement was the problem by trying the pattern on auto (I could do it then) etc. Any tips on how to deal with these types of patterns?

read them as single circles, hold the key for as long as you can and keep your eye on the next approach circle

and as always just play more

that's easy to do when it's like 3 to 5 of them in a row, that much i can manage.
it's when it's a chain of like 10+ where i just can't handle it.
what do you mean by "as long as you can"? that's pretty vague...

I had trouble with it for quite a long time, but now it's one of my favorite patterns ^^

As said before, read and play them as singles, especially on high bpm (by the way what do you consider high bpm for these sliders ? I got a big handful of maps full of them so if you can't bother looking for them I can post some in the bpm you're looking for).

So it's your aiming/reading that fails. You can alternate them, singletap them... you can even mash them providing you aim properly and still get full combo. Sliders are ridiculously easy in this sense. Remember to look at the approach circle or, even better, at the numbers and go for them.

He meant that nothing wrong happens if you hold a slider for too long and it guarantees a hit300. You should be able to just "feel" how long you should hold sliders rhythm-wise, but it's more safe for unexperienced players to just hold them for longer time, limited to the amount of time you need to go and click the next object.

All you need to do is identify which end of the slider it starts on and ignore the rest of the slider. This is when snaking sliders comes in handy. Although the effect isn't obvious, it's still there. It's also not too deadly to read approach circles for these, since you can hit sliders with a huge error and still get 300. Actually it'll probably get you bad habits, so don't do it if you can avoid it.
Find the side the slider starts on, and just hit it like any single, but don't let go. Alternating may be easier if you can't hold the key down long enough with singles, since you can just keep one key down until you hit the other.

i've passed them up to now by mashing but i absolutely hate it since it feels like i'm cheating. it's difficult for me to treat them as single notes and i instinctively try to follow all the sliders without meaning to. funny thing is, take away the actual tapping and i can do it without much of a hassle, so it's probably some coordination issue between my tablet and my keyboard.

yeah alternating seems easier but the more spaced out the sliders are the less accurate i get. i'll try the snaking sliders for a bit and see if it helps.

Was hard to find what you were precisely looking for, but these should fit (had trouble finding maps with bpm>180 and series of more than 4 sliders) :

https://osu.ppy.sh/s/47664 (another diff, very streamy)
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/256839 Mythol's and S.S diff's, around the middle of the map
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/181589 0108 diff, not really series but a lot of these sliders
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/215238 Rin and Skystar's
http://osu.ppy.sh/b/234707 Black's diff, extra in a lesser way

This one on a lower bpm but I find the Insane and extra very hard to read up, might be just me though https://osu.ppy.sh/b/335322

Hope they fit and you enjoy them :D

I've found these are hardest to time at a certain BPM range (175-195 BPM). Lower BPMs are easy to do because the interval between the sliders is longer and higher BPM are also easier because you can just treat them as normal circles and still get 300s. This is just what I feel though; I could very likely be wrong and I haven't seen anyone else mention something similar.

Best thing to do is to practice them. The Big Black probably has the most intense 1/4 sliders in the game, so there you go. Pavor Nocturnus also comes to mind.

If you have trouble reading long series of these, maybe because of low AR, the trick is to only focus on the start of the sliders and ignore the rest (You still need to hold down the button for a bit though)

i think it's more of a mental block that i'm experiencing. it's difficult for me to treat them not as sliders but as individual notes, and i end up either clipping the note or holding on to it for too long. for more stable rhythms it's more manageable, but when i start playing another/extra/s.s difficulties, the rhythm gets extremely complex and i can't even pass the section. thank you for the input! (i'm too afraid of the big black T_T)

edit the map and keep practising that one part. You'll eventually get better.

I used to hate multiple short sliders, but now i love them.
