Blocko asked me to take a look at these snaps.
Hopefully that was good enough... ugh.Blocko wrote:
I'll go ahead and rearrange the whole thing in order to make it easier to use as reference, along with the rest of the weird snaps out there.
1/2
01:06:227 - (agree, that snap should be on 1/2, not 1/3)
1/2 and 1/3 polyrhythm
02:11:753 - (given the layering increases on most of the harder difficulties when the piano starts at 02:10:806, you could add numerous polyrhythmic notes a bit before here, but that seems quite a lot of things to add -- I'm not hearing any percussion or anything else that merits more of an accent than the 1/3)
1/4 (will definitely have to check this up with someone)
02:00:069 - (if this is following the piano which seems to be decently far in the background of the soundscape, it's actually fine as 1/3 here)
02:01:569 - (interestingly enough, this is also 1/6 continuing from 02:01:332, but there's only five notes, i.e. there's a 1/3 gap between the 5th note of that burst and the actual crash itself at 02:01:964)
1/6 (will definitely have to check this up with someone)
02:01:332 - [b](you are correct here, change this to 1/6 for best accuracy)
1/8 (some are placed as 1/3 but in reality they're 1/8)
02:01:648 - (if you're not going through with the 1/6 cymbal crash build-up that happens here, the 3/8 + 3/8 + 2/8 spacing seems more correct than the 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 spacing, but it's really hard to tell on my end)
02:16:806 - (this one is definitely 3/8 + 3/8 + 2/8 spacing instead of 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3, much more clear to hear than the first one)
1/8
SITUATIONS LIKE THESE NEXT TWO ARE REASONS WHY OSU'S EDITOR NEEDS TO HAVE LINEAR PITCH ADJUSTMENT WHEN THE SONG'S SPEED IS BROUGHT DOWN.
For 02:21:227 and 02:21:858, the correct rhythm is actually a mix of both 1/8 and 1/3 notes as shown here; I synced up the song myself using DDream Studio and worked backwards from the triple at 02:22:174 (142174|2,142174|3,142174|0) -- 1/1 = red, 1/2 = blue, 1/3 = purple, 1/4 = yellow, 1/8 orange; no one would ever get this right using osu!'s editor because the song is simply too granulated by the time you reduce the song to 50% speed. I had to drop it all the way down to 20% in DDream Studio to double check that the rhythm was correct.
1/12
00:30:885 - (correct, should be 1/12: move 00:30:885 to 00:30:911)
00:46:043 - (this note seems fine where it is)
00:49:832 - (also seems alright)
00:55:832 - (DDream Studio shows a waveform on 1/16 that might be more what you're looking for: move 00:55:806 to 00:55:826, which is 1/16 after the nearest 1/2)
01:10:043 - (Waveform seems most prominent as a 96th, or 1/24 snap, but osu! doesn't seem to go that far; the closest to it would be a 1/16 at 01:10:036, which is seven 1/16 away from the 1/1 at 01:10:174)
01:29:937 - (agree, any maps with notes at 01:29:911 should move them to this time accordingly)
01:31:516 - (also agree, any maps with notes at 01:31:490 should shift them accordingly)
01:35:306 - (even on a lower rate, I can't really notice any sort of uneven separation and a waveform isn't conclusive here either; I'd say leave it on the 1/2 at 01:35:279)
01:50:148 - (waveform seems to indicate a 64th or 1/16 snap; maps should shift notes from 01:50:122 or otherwise to 01:50:141, or seven 1/16 away from the 1/1 at 01:50:279)
01:51:727 - (too hard for me to tell, unfortunately -- I'd say leave it there because the percussion seems to just flow fine as 12ths into the accented triple at 01:51:858)
01:55:201 - (personally seems fine to me where it is at 01:55:174? another one that seems to be hard to tell)
02:00:569 - (agree, any notes not there should be shifted to this one accordingly for proper percussion accenting)
02:10:358 - (also agree, notes should be moved here for proper percussion accenting)
02:16:358 - (waveform seems to indicate something closer to a 64th or 1/16 snap, and it seems audibly correct with a tick as well; maps should shift notes from 02:16:332 to 02:16:352, which is seven 1/16 away from the 1/1 at 02:16:490)
03:33:552 - (probably the most clear of them all and confirmed both waves/audibly; all notes following percussion here definitely should snap to 1/12 to follow percussion accordingly)
Golly these are a lot more than I thought ;_;
EDIT: snaps around this time should be checked, too
03:17:894 - (seems fine to me as 1/4 personally)
04:38:815 - (maps that are following the piano here are fine; this seems like 1/4 for the piano although it is admittedly tricky to hear because there are a few strange off-rhythm chimes going on)
04:59:026 -(maps that are following the piano here are fine; there is an off-beat chime at 04:59:158, which seems to be caught on a few maps but otherwise I don't hear anything erroneous about this)
