Yes, yes, I know there are way too many of these. I just need some advice on two different Cherry MX Red keyboards I'm looking at. Living in Canada doesn't give you much of a choice sadly. Here are the two

1. http://goo.gl/t5zcl3

Corsair Vengeance K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard-Black Cherry MX CH-9000011-NA (Red)

2. http://goo.gl/acAlwz

SteelSeries 6Gv2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Red Cherry Switches Edition

Any help would be appreciated, as well as if you have any other suggestion for a keyboard in that range with shipping to Canada. Thanks.

Umm....what?

All three of those are Canadian stores, and offer plenty of options for mechanical keyboards. Hell, you could even pick up the sought-after Ducky keyboards from NCIX, which (as far as I'm aware) were not even available in North America until recently.

Please. You can pick up anything at your local Canadian Tire.

Please spell properly if you're gonna emphasize the fact that you're Canadian.

I would go for the Corsair keyboard as it has more of an arm rest at the bottom of the keyboard meaning that you will have more stamina when playing fast or streamy songs.

If you're looking for a cheap and rugged keyboard from a reputable brand then get a Corsair K65. Lacking the numpad but construction/aesthetics is amazing, and typing on it is a beast.
Noobsicle
not much difference between the two (quality-wise both should be roughly the same)

if you want leds, get the corsair

Don't buy a corsair keyboard, they're fucking garbage.

lol using those kills my stamina, bad idea

anyways, i don't know if armrest is detachable like the k95 but i'd say go with k70

I'm leaning towards the k70 due to what everyone has said and that it has a built in volume adjuster which would be very useful to me since my Razer Kraken Pro doesn't have a volume adjuster on the cord.

I'm pretty sure most mechanical gaming keyboards have volume control, just not necessarily in the form of a wheel or roller (The SteelSeries keyboard you linked, for example, has F1-F6 mapped as media keys).

Personally, I think you should just go for a CM Storm or Ducky keyboard from one of the websites I linked above (depending on your budget).

I haven't owned a corsair keyboard before but considered one at some point, may I ask why?

Weird. I'm not a std player but I do use a Corsair K65 (red switches), which works perfectly for me in Mania/LR2.

Don't know about the K90 but I haven't seen any keystroke issues with the K65.
Lach
K65 is long after the K90, perhaps they got their shit together. I knew of a few other people who had the same problem with the same keyboard.

Thank you for the recommended sites, after Lach showing his opinion on the Corsair I'm not so sure about buying that one. Everyone seems to enjoy the Cooler Master CM Storm keyboards so I found one that I like http://goo.gl/XTtnXb

It's at a good price and appears to be a solid keyboard. Anyone have any opinions on this specific keyboard?
WindyExplorer
if its the CM storm tk with red switch then i can tell u its amazing, the keys aren't loud its sturdy and for osu they take a beating i smashed my A and S crazy and have yet to see any problem, only thing i personally hate is that when it comes to deep cleaning xD iam scared to take my space bar off cause of a special bar or w.e that holds it but other then that its perfect if u can try and get it from amazon or newegg i paid like 89 with tax and shipping cause i wanted 3 day or 2 day cant remember ._.

I think the only thing that keyboard is lacking is PS/2 support (the old-school purple keyboard port), but I'm not even sure if that's even that big of a deal (especially considering that you can bring up that keyboard's polling rate). Otherwise, it's a pretty good choice.
Metro
DO NOT buy the Corsair. I had one and they're garbage.

For anyone wondering I ended up getting the SteelSeries 6Gv2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Red Cherry Switches Edition from amazon. Unfortunately it said the shipping speed is 3-5 weeks, so I'll be waiting a while. I may post an update on what I think of the keyboard if anyone cares.
aizhid
I might get a CM storm TK later too. cookiezi keyboard ftw
