hi, m4m here.
[General]
good luck with the set!
[General]
- something I want to point out here, the normal and alot more so the hard have problems with passive sliders ( starting on red tick, ending on white) this can work in songs where this fits, but here it is not the case.
- Pretty nice diff, just some minor clean ups with the patterns here. mostly nazi stuff and some rhythm suggestions.
- Nazi: 00:04:673 (2,1) - fix blanket by moving the third anchor of 1 slightly to the right.
- 00:08:877 (2,1) - same deal here. a good way to check these is to ctrl+g the 2 and use its approach circle to make sure they are perfect. like this :
- ^ 00:14:227 (1,2) -
- 00:15:756 (1) - try to move 1 to x 121 y 190, minor tweak, but I think it makes this part look a little better.
- 00:15:756 (1,2) - again, check blanket. here's another example of using the approach circle to check these.
- 00:10:788 (2,1) - ^ check blanket.
- 00:23:017 (2,1) - ^ also, dont forget to copy and paste the slider to 00:24:546 (1) - once you fix it here.
- 00:37:348 (5,1) - ^
- 00:45:183 (6,1) - ^
- 01:05:820 (2,3) - ^
- 01:06:202 (3,1) - ^
- 01:25:693 (2,1) - ^
- 00:27:221 (5) - i see you are going to symmetry here, but this just feels kind of strange because you have an important downbeat at the tail of this slider that in my opinion should be ckicled. what I suggest you do is something like this ( and pay attention to Nc:
- 00:39:451 (3) - move to x 177 y 119 for perfect blanket with 2.
- 00:53:591 (2) - in my opinion, this rhythm is more enjoyable to play here. try it
- if you take above suggestion, change 00:56:648 (2) - as well.
- 00:59:705 (2) - ^
- 01:03:145 (2) - move to x 314 y 57 and adjust following notes slightly. this is for better blanket with 1.
- 01:23:017 (1,2,1) - move this whole pattern up, so that the head of 1 is on the same axis as the tail of 01:21:489 (1) - it looks nicer this way :p
Lots of clean up needed on blankets, but other than that it looked good.
- this whole map needs alot of work as far as the aesthetics go. it looks a little chaotic as it is. and there some issues with passive sliders ( sliders that start on red ticks and end on white.)
- same problem with blankets as with easy, but some of these are more tricky due to spacing, but still doable. 00:03:909 (2,3) - for example, do this, it makes the map look better I will only point out this one, since I dont want this to be a wall of text, find the rest with this example.
- 00:08:113 (1,2,3) - this is some really bad flow for players of this skill level in my opinion, you should so something like this:
- 00:13:654 (3) - this passive slider feels very strange here, you should just delete the circle before this, and make this a 1/1 slider.
- 00:14:227 (1,2,3) - again, bad flow here, but I really cant think of anything, try to improve this yourself
- 00:17:285 (3) - this looks pretty ugly, you should give this slider less of a curve, maybe something like this:
- 00:26:266 (1) - again, this passive slider just doesnt fit here. it feels strange when playing. not to mention the downbeat is on its tail. just use 1/1 rhythm here with the white lines.
- 00:27:985 (4,1) - switch NCs
- 00:28:559 (2) - listen to the music carefully, the beat here doesnt really need to have its own circle. in normal diffs, you want to use circles to highlight important vocals and beats in the music, there is nothing like that here, just delete it.
- 00:50:915 (1,2,3) - again, really bad flow here.
- 01:21:489 (1,2,3) - ^
- 01:27:030 (3) - again, weird passive slider, just use 1/1 like i suggested before.
this one needs alot of work. hopefully some of this points you in the right direction.
- as with normal, there's problems with passive sliders in this diff that you should really consider fixing. ( passive slider meaning starts on red tick, ends on white. )
- 00:04:196 (3) - you should just move this circle to the next white line. a rhythm like this isnt really fun to play, specially in a hard diff. as an alternative, you can leave this be, and add a 1/2 slider on the white line after this circle, removing the circle on the red line.
- 00:05:438 (2,3,4,5) - in my opinion, if you are going to have these 4 note streams in hard, you should either stack them, or reduce the spacing more than what it is right now. also, see second suggestion from above for 00:05:724 (5) -
- 00:06:393 (1) - weird passive slider with the tail on the downbeat. if you followed the above suggestion, fixing this is easy, just move this slider back 1/2.
- 00:08:877 (5,6) - another problem with passive slider here, if you are trying to match vocals, this should be a 1/1 slider.
- 00:10:597 (6) - same as above.
- 00:12:126 (6) - ^
- 00:12:508 (1) - ^
- 00:18:431 (5) - make this a 1/2 so that the beat at 00:18:813 - is clickable, this sounds and plays more fun, imo
- 00:19:005 (1,2) - more passive sliders.
- 00:20:915 (4,5) - ^ anyway, going to stop pointing these out, im sure you get it.
- 00:46:712 - no reason for a gap this big in a hard, at least add a circle at this time for the drum beat.
- 00:55:119 (7) - i suggest you just make this a circle, and place something where the tail of this is.
this diff as a whole needs alot of work with rhythms in my opinion, I already pointed out some examples of problems, maybe this will help you get on the right track. you will have to remap a large portion of this diff.
- I am really no good at modding insanes. but this diff feels ALOT better and is more fun than the hard just because its not filled with the unfitting passive sliders. Just try to fix up some of the blankets with the examples I gave you in normal and easy. my mapping style is far too different from yours to be able to offer anything useful here without trying to impose my own things on you, so im going to leave it at this.
good luck with the set!
