vague question, Anything specific you're struggling with? LN, jacks, chordstreams, etc, are they a problem? Or is it just everything in general that seems to be out of your reach? Do you know where your strengths and weaknesses lie? Do you have any goal in practice sessions such as improving acc & consistency, LN, SV, rice, exploring new patterns, focusing on a specific pattern or style of mapping, etc?

At a certain point, just doing the same thing over and over again stops working. It becomes more like ramming your head against the wall. You'll have to start experimenting a bit, be a bit more critical/analytical/intelligent in your practice, and fix any bad habits you might have.

As as example. I used to have awful acc, I'm talking 85% - 93% acc, and spam through 50% of the map. Hit a 'skill wall', figured out I was just ego-playing(ego-lifting). Hyper-focused on acc, for a few weeks, and suddenly I stagnated and stopped making progress. Eventually I found a balance between pushing my limits and working on my fundamentals.

Basically, if you've hit a 'skill wall', figure out why, experiment a bit, try new things, fix any old bad habits.

Most important, take a short break and come back fresh when you aren't so frustrated.

what ive done ever since roughly 3 star level was aim for 95% on everythibg .1 stars above my hardest (ie 3.49 - 3.52, 4.01 - 4.15 etc). i know that star rating kinda sucks ass tho so now i kinda just find stuff i cant 95% and practice until i 95%. stopped working and i think its due to just how few good charts there are where i actually enjoy music. im gonna try _icerain map packs and try everything i can do and aim for atleast an A, im gonna hate it but i just have to accept it

Have you tried getting some good acc plays and/or FC's on some easier maps? Harder patterns build ontop of easier patterns, so improving acc & consistency on some moderate/easy diff maps will indirectly help you with harder stuff.

I just enable "Scale osu!mania scroll speed with bpm", keep it at 10(BPM Scale) when I want to practice on easier songs or play 10k. Keeps it fresh and fun to practice for me, though you might dislike it. Funnily enough, it accidentally became a pretty good practice tool for me. Practice with a variety of scrollspeeds, reading patterns in general, and acc/consistency/rhythm sense.

Atleast thats what I've been doing recently. I've always found, practicing for acc is a good mental break for me, if I've been pushing my limits, or i just don't know what to do.

7k and 6k are different. 5 stars at 7k is not much different from 6 stars so it shouldn't take long for you to start playing 6 and 7 star maps. My advice, use half time and play maps considering their types and bpm but don't limit yourself to those two. Taking one day break to rest is good and also, speed comes from light taps and not heavy ones, remember that.
