i wanna make a chart and make it ranked and i know theres rules for charts and song i picked is 4 minutes long and ranking criteria for mania doesnt specify for stuff above 3:30. do i just follow 2:45 - 3:30 rules?
definitrly longer? i though it was like a few seconds longer nglGamesnake7 wrote:
4 minutes is def longer than 3:30 minutes, you can stick a single diff and make it ranked
they are the current ones and should be followed still, you might just misinterpreting them like the less than 2mins says it can be 1 single diff if the diff is normal or you can have a spread starting from normal as the lowest diff or make a spread with 3 difficulties lower than the highest at a good progression so something that starts at an insane is still allowedSwagBoyOnOsu wrote:
As far as I can tell from beatmap listings, there are songs over 3:30 minutes that are just singular high or mid difficulty and ranked. Judging from that specific section of rules, it really is just concerned with how songs are mapped. I can even find some ranked maps where the timespan rule is just straight up not followed lol (they were written a super long time ago, who knows what the current ones are). But if you want to make 2 difficulties to be safe, go for it.
(Reading through these rules, I think I understand why so many patterns feel so similar or restricted...)
