I have been struggling to hit 7k as I often get confused on what to hit and what not, so I had this idea to write ASD 456 on the notes, but I am not sure if that will give me an unfair advantage from others that use normal skins without any keybinds written on the notes...

If I make a reskin with the keybinds ON the notes for 7k, will it be cheating?

its not cheating, i dont think its possible to do something to a skin that makes whatever youre doing cheating
Well, it's not doing anything for you that you should be doing yourself, it's more akin to a unique way of having color-coded notes, so it should be fine.
I reckon colors work better. Also, associate the columns with your fingers, not the key on keyboard. Thats what I did for 10k.
e.g. outside columns will always be ring finger
_ _ _ T _ _ _ -> Thumb= ORANGE is center column
_ _ I _ I _ _ -> Index Finger = WHITE next to center column
_ M _ _ _ M _ -> Middle Finger= BLUE
R _ _ _ _ _ R -> Ring Finger = WHITE outside column
Left hand -> Left notes
Right hand -> Right notes
Center note -> Pick left or right thumb and stick with it.
EDIT: Quick tip, go slow as you need to learn the notes.

you wanna specifically use those colors (o2jam colors) because everyone uses it for 7k
you dont really need blue for midde fingers (i play 6k with all white) but i reccomend middle note colored

As well, I do not do bar skin for 7K, I do circles. The same circles I do for 4k. I could probably get used to bars, but it's not a matter of concern for me now. To be fair, my skin has always been weird because I customized it to my liking.
But anyways, it's not cheating lol. Most people don't need the keybinds on their keys, and most people just keep throwing themselves into the game hoping for eventual results. Changing your skin in a smart resourceful way to speed up the process is, well, smart... until you stop liking it. Whatever floats your boat, y'know?
