whilst i was finding my first skin i found some video saying theres skins for improving skills and the question was just never answered so, now that its on my mind, how the fuck can skins help improve skills? im genuinely perplexed as how????????????????????????????????????????? what???????????

Reading is different.. Some people also prefer different sizes of skins to help them understand a pattern better.

how can sightreading be used to improve skill? im guessing it means bigger note which makes the timing windows look tighter whilst keeping them the same timing to help increase accuracyWimpy Cursed wrote:

imo its just a clickbaity thing to call skins when in reality most skins are good enough to make anyone play at a high level (except for the obvious troll ones with massive notes or small/invisible notes)
however skin skillboost can happen especially if you built up mindblocks overtime on your current skin or you find out its easier to read with bigger/smaller notes or a wider/tighter note column spacing but its best left to be a last resort option if you feel like you are truly stuck at your skill level instead of something you rely on to get better at the game with

i feel like skill skin boost isnt really improvement at mania but just finding a better skin, if they gone back to their old skin theyd play the same
probably means percy skin for ln which basically make them look a bit shorter than they are so it's less cluttered on screen, tends to help people get better push scores but worse acc scores
There's skins that take away your hit position making it so you have to know where the hit position is consciously or at least relatively enough that your gonna play better with your assisted skin theres other skins with other features (some etterna skins allow you to see which notes get which timings so you can better get acc)
But there's lots of different skins that have different uses so keep on the lookout
