I'm trying to change from opengl to directx but I can't do it because osu so lag when I open it with OpenGL :)

  • The Easy Way
  1. 1. Hold shift while attempting to run osu! (shows the recovery dialog).
  2. 2. Change OpenGL to DirectX.

    The Hard Way
  3. Open the user configuration file (using notepad, named as osu!.<user>.cfg)
  4. Find the line that contains Renderer and change its value from opengl to directx.

Please do not bump old resolved threads.

The option to change isn't there anymore in latest builds. Instead enable "Compatibility mode" in options, or switch to fallback and change renderer there.
