Hi~
From #modreqs
[General]
Black Bullet!
[Timing]
Stop the KIAI at 01:01:947 – instead of 01:00:398 – if you want a flashing effect during the change
And do not slow down the slider velocity even a short flash
[Easy]
AR: -1
Seems it’s almost all 1/1, higher AR will make players cant see the next note before they finish the current one
^ For example at this point 00:15:689 – you can only see 00:15:882 (1) – and no other things around
00:09:689 (1) – I suggest to extend the spinner to 00:12:205 - , don’t want to leave gaps between the next note. You can also consider extend to 00:12:398 – but it might be a little harder
00:18:979 (1) – Can try to curve this note another way to make a “S” shape with 00:17:431 (2) - , would help better in flow. Refer pic:
00:53:431 (2) - Try to make them more flowy (by moving (2) a little bit down) after 00:53:044 (1) - something like this:
Image^ This could also help in avoiding 00:54:592 (3) – to be mapped out of mapping area
Good blankets!
[Normal]
00:09:689 (1) – Suggest to extend the spinner to 00:12:398 - . Try not to leave a big timing distance with no break, it will drain HP! You can also consider to map that part starting 00:11:431 –
00:12:786 (1,2) – Not perfect symmetry here. Try to make them same shape by copying and paste them, and then use the function of Ctrl+H. You can use the shape of 00:14:334 (2) – seems you want it to blanket with 00:15:108 (3) –
00:17:431 (3,4) – Could try pattern like this (refer pic), this one looks odd compared to 00:15:882 (1,2) – cuz you didn’t really rotate 00:18:205 (4) – that much:
[box=Image]
00:22:076 (1) – Prefer this to be rotated like 180* with Ctrl+G (swapping heads and tail) which points down to 00:22:850 (2) – after 00:20:528 (4) –
00:28:269 (1,2) – Making them same shape would look neater, suggest to use the shape of 00:29:044 (2) – and then rotate a little like 45* clockwise
00:33:689 (4) – Not sure I like it to be curved that much after 00:31:366 (1,2,3) – because you don’t want it to look special without anything heavy indicated
00:36:786 (4) – This one’s a little out of constant DS, try moving 00:36:011 (3) – more downwards (should be fine if you’re out of the area for a bit)
00:37:560 (1,2) – I’m not sure if they have same shape, but if it’s not try to make 00:37:560 (1) – look like the shape of 00:38:334 (2) - , copy and paste! :d
00:55:753 (1) – Nazi, move the tail point of the slider to 1 tiny grid left or around X:252 Y:320 to make it perfectly aligned with 00:54:979 (5) –
00:59:237 (1) – Suggest not to point the reverse slider on 00:58:076 (5) – because it might spoil the flow. Try something like this:
01:01:947 (1) – Might wanna try rotating 90* clockwise and make it a pattern like this (refer pic), which looks better to avoid strange sliders combo :3
No major problems, playable and simple!
Keep up.
[Hard]
Took a quick look and found the notes and jumps are pretty randomly placed
Notes are all forced to follow vocal instead of constant beat
Need a bit more work on this diff
00:06:592 – Add finish, start of the music
00:06:592 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) – Suggest to replace all the claps in to something lighter (or custom hitsound sound like a beat). You can try soft whistle
00:09:689 (1,2,3,4,5,6) – Try not to abuse finish sound, might sound annoying sometimes. Replace them to something like as suggested on the last mod, soft whistle could do
00:13:753 (1) – I don’t see any point to jump here, try to remain 1.3x DS seems it’s the slow part too
^ If you really really insist to keep, at least make the jump at 00:14:334 (2) – instead of 00:14:140 (1) –
00:15:495 – As mentioned, try not to force all the notes to follow just vocal and leaving unnecessary gaps between notes. Consider putting something there
00:17:237 (1) – Strongly suggest not to make a jump here, please use 1.3x DS, even you’re following vocal cuz it isn’t that heavy or significant for you to make players to notice it that much
00:18:592 - In Hard diffs you can actually fill these space to avoid letting players to feel it’s “empty”
00:20:334 (1,2) - As mentioned above, try to remain 1.3x DS to let your map look more neat and cuz it’s slow part too
00:21:882 (1) –
4.0x jump is way too big (and it’s stacked) in Hard diff, please avoid this because Hard level players can’t react that00:23:431 (1) – This pattern is actually a lot better than previous ones like 00:20:334 (1,2) – because you have something on the middle which is 00:23:624 (2) – to show it’s really a pattern instead of random jumps (and you don’t make players feel it’s on purpose)
00:25:173 (1) – Ctrl+G would fit better in the flow, but it also makes it a little bit more jumpy cuz of your arrangements
00:26:528 (1) – The small jump here is acceptable, which is not a bad thing, because the music is getting faster leading to the KIAI
00:34:463 (1) – Try to make this stick to the slider 00:34:076 (4) – to keep it the same pattern as 00:34:753 (2,1) – . Suggest no jump there because the spacing of the next pattern is barely any distance snapped
00:36:979 – As mentioned, you can actually map these parts in Hard instead of leaving a gap, can be good parts to make music more filled
00:43:753 (1) – Suggest to make it more spaced because most of the notes is very fast distanced and anti jump here doesn’t look good here
00:48:979 (2) – Try to make this blanket with 00:48:398 (1) – leaving 00:49:560 (1) – more distance because they’re too close to each other
01:00:398 – Actually this part is still in KIAI try not to slow it down
01:02:044 (2) – This sound a little extra if you’re focusing on vocal, suggest to remove it
01:02:721 (5,6) – Ctrl+G would fit better with the flow
01:05:818 (3) – If possible make the pattern on the middle line if you want symmetry cuz seems it’s already close to it. Try this:
^ And please do make sure 01:06:011 (4) – has the exact same shape with 01:05:431 (2) – to make it look neat. Copy paste 01:05:431 (2) – and then use Ctrl+H and Ctrl+G
01:07:173 (3,4,5,6) – The DS of this set is pretty random altho I know you’re using 1.7x DS. You can try the function of creating polygon circles (Ctrl+Shift+D), put 1.7x DS and then 4 points
01:12:786 – Try not to slow down SV seems it’s still in KIAI
01:18:011 (1) – Remove clap
01:18:398 – As previously, try to replace the claps with some lighter hitsound, sometimes it just sound annoying for some players (but I’m okay with it).
^ And also if you want to rank the map try not to over hitsounding it, BATs don’t like them
01:19:947 (7,8,9) – Try to snap them with 1.7x DS, it’s a bit squeezed down there. Something look like 01:21:495 (2) – would be better
Rhythms are fine
Need some work on this diff, try to request more mods
[Insane]
AR9 is a bit too fast, try AR8.6 (hold down shift key and adjust)
00:06:786 (2) – Remove this would sound better cuz it’s like an extra hit
00:09:689 (1) – Yep this looks good ^
00:18:495 (6) – Removing this also sounds better to fit the music, which you have to arrange the DS for a bit after breaking them to 2 sets
00:24:689 (4) – A bit over sounded. The drum hits are actually at 00:24:689 – and 00:24:786 - , and then continues at 00:24:979 – and 00:25:076 – . Try not to overmap it
00:27:979 (5) – Suggest to remove this, triplets at most of the time shouldn’t end in red tick which is 00:28:076 (6) –
00:34:657 – Remove clap (extra sounded)
00:36:979 (3) – Same as the mod with 00:24:689 - , try to fix this part as well
00:41:431 – I would follow vocal at this part becoz the vocal is a bit heavy
00:43:076 – Add a circle here to form 5 hits, don’t wanna miss the sound at 00:43:076 –
01:18:011 (2) – Remove this, sounds extra
01:20:334 (1,2) – Try to make their distance close, even it’s “Insane” you shouldn’t space them that much because you didn’t previously
The SV in KIAI is too fast, try just to use 1.25 SV
Other than that looks okay
[Kinomi’s Insane]
Try AR8.6 (hold shift key and adjust) or something around there, AR8 is a bit slow
00:07:173 (2,3,4,5,6,7) – Suggest to make them all whistled cuz of strong vocal
00:10:850 – Remove whistle, look like you didn’t do it on purpose
00:11:044 (4,6) – Whistle them for strong vocal
00:13:366 (2) – Move to X:276 Y:280 (with 1.0x DS) for better pattern and flow imo
00:30:882 (2) – Ctrl+G for flow pattern? It’s optional, feel free to keep
00:31:947 (2) – Try the pattern mod like 00:13:366 (2) – see if you find it a better one or not
00:45:882 (5) – NC here because of the DS
00:46:657 (7) - ^ Here as well and remove the NC for 00:46:850 (1) –
00:47:624 (3) – And then you can put a New combo here again
00:56:140 (8) – Move this to X:128 Y:124 for better blanket (if you want perfect one try turning off grid snap and move around)
00:57:495 (4) – You can try blanket this with 00:56:915 (3) – (even you ignore the DS), 0.8x DS here look strange
01:13:366 (2) – Move this to X:340 Y:296 for better blanket. Then move this set 01:14:721 (1,2) - a few tiny grids to the left to avoid stacking 01:13:366 (2) –
01:18:786 (3,4,5,6,7) – Whistle them for strong vocal
01:22:076 – Remove whistle here
01:24:108 (9) – NC here for consistency
Solid, simple, easy to read and play. Good diff!
Have to work a bit harder on some diffs. Good luck!
