I killed the audio on my map and i dont know how to fix it.

I finished mapping a song and i left more than 20% of the song unmapped so i wanted to make a cut version so i had a chance at getting it ranked. I made a cut version in fl studio, after i went into my maps song folder and i deleted the original uncut song and dragged in the cut version. Doing this just killed the audio and no sound plays on the map now. I tried replacing the original file back and getting rid of the cut version but it didnt fix anything, the map is just mute now.

Did i kill my map and is there no hope or is there a fix?

as long as the map is still there, don’t worry you haven’t lost anything. Can you make sure that the filename of the new MP3 is identical to the one that you removed? Otherwise osu! won’t know to read the new MP3 resulting in no sound being played.

If you don’t know what the original audio was named. Just try naming it audio.mp3 and see if it works.

If that also doesn’t work. Go into your map’s .osu file. Open it with a text editor like notepad. Then look for a line near the top that says “AudioFilename”, then simply rename your new MP3 to what’s stated there.
