[osu!stable] I cannot install osu

Problem details: I have been trying to install osu, it has given me no error messages and doesnt open at all. I previosly had osu installed but it woulndt open so i deleted it and reinstalled. the installer doesnt open either. how can i fix this

Based on the osu!version Stable 20240820.1
Do you have an error sounded like "your copy of osu! is too old and needs to be updated"?

the reason im playing such an old version now is becuase its the only version that opens osu for me.

Did you take a look through that thread?

What issues were you struggling with that won't allow to you update your osu?

Was it crashing, not installing (did you get an error during the installation process).

I dont really know, it doesn't open any windows or leave any messages. the other thread could be similar to what im dealing with but i dont really see a solution anywhere
