Hello/ From #modreqs

Wow you have done a good work, needs some improvements tho...

[General]
  1. Remove "kill la kill" from the tags, it's already in the source so it's unneeded. And what is the "insert song 23"???
  2. Countdown conflict. Remove it from the insane diff to fix this.
  3. Audio bitrate is 256kbps, which is unrankeable. Here you have a 196kbps audio file: http://puu.sh/7YNsE.mp3
  4. The background dimensions are 1191x670. You should use 1024x768 or 1366x768. Here you have a 1366x768 file: http://puu.sh/7YO9u.png
[Normal]
  1. This diff is very hard :( You may need to make this easier or renaming it to Hard and doing an easier one.
  2. 00:17:477 (14) Add NC here. In a normal diff, combos should have on average 7-10 hit objects.
  3. 00:22:723 (4) Why the reverse arrow is pointing down?!?!?!
  4. 00:30:592 (5,6,7) Make these overlap for better aesthetics. (You may need to change grid level to 4)
  5. 00:31:248 (7,1) Replace this with a slider to fix polarity issue.
  6. 00:32:395 (3,4) Again, overlap these.
  7. 00:34:199 (4,5) Polarity issue. Replace [4] with a hitcircle, delete [5] and put a reverse slider from 00:34:362 to 00:34:690 and 00:35:018. This might be a bit confusing, the timeline should look like this:
  8. 00:36:821 (4,5,6) Same polarity issue as above. Fix it in the same way.
  9. 00:47:641 (10) Add NC here.
  10. 00:48:953 (12) This slider have 3 nodes but it's straight O.O Remove the node of the middle.
  11. 00:48:953 (12,13) Overlap these.
  12. 00:52:231 (5) Again, another straight slider with 3 nodes. Remove 1.
  13. 00:52:231 (5,6) Not sure, but overlapping these might be a good idea.
  14. 01:18:953 (9,10) This can be a bit confusing. Use a slider instead.
  15. 01:22:395 (13,14) Reduce the distance between these. Also flip horizontally [14].
  16. 01:54:526 (1,2) Don't overlap these. It might be confusing because of the reverse slider.
  17. 01:57:149 (1,2,3) Again, don't overlap the slider with the hitcircles.
  18. 02:01:084 (6) Move this to 02:00:428 (4)
  19. 02:19:117 (8) End this slider at 02:19:280 to better fit with the rhythm.
  20. 02:33:215 (7,8) Fix this blanket. [8] should be at 152;96.
  21. 03:11:903 (2,3,4) Swap the start and the end of these sliders for a better flow.
  22. 03:32:559 (4) This slider is hard to read, so do this: Move 03:32:231 (3) to the left and add a hitcircle at 03:32:395.
  23. 03:37:969 (7,8) This is hard to read too. Delete this, add a slider from 03:37:969 to 03:38:133 and add a hitcircle at 03:38:461.
  24. 04:00:428 (3,4,5) Overlap these.
  25. 04:08:953 (11,12,13) Overlap these too.
  26. 04:17:149 (4,5) Unexpected jump. Make it consistent.
Sorry but I can't mod the insane because of lack of skills (Also I'm tired lol)

Hope this helps :3

I'm pretty new to this so plz bear with me
I went ahead and tried the insane difficulty since someone seemed to have thoroughly analyzed the normal diff.
Honestly, I can't really find anything wrong with it. However, I play w/ storyboard turned off and max bg dim due to low pc specs, so if there's anything there that has an issue, obviously i wouldn't be able to tell...
The one thing that struck me as out of the ordinary was the length of some of the combos which would sometimes reach up to 20. I don't know, Osu's criteria states that insanes should have longer combos but I feel as though map difficulties and their styles evolve over time. E.g. no one uses CS: 5 anymore.
For your map, I'd only reduce the combo length if you hardened the OD and/or HP. The settings fit with each other otherwise.
But yeah, hope this helped.. :|

Not really a mod so no kudosu for this post
I just happened by and decided to tell you some things \o/

Preview time should be set at 00:42:389 - , you can edit this in manually into the .osu file or you can scroll on the timeline until the time is set at 00:42:389 - , then go to timing > set current position as preview point. This way when people want to preview the song, they'll get to hear the exciting part (the chorus).

You should also have some tags for your song, such as Kill la Kill or Studio Trigger, which is the animation company I think.

Also some things in general: Usually you should make the first note in kiai time a new combo to give it more emphasis. For the kiai time I think it's good if you can start new combo every two measures, or every eight beats (which is also every eight white ticks on the timeline). For example, 00:46:324 (10) - add new combo, 00:47:635 (1) - remove new combo and add it at 00:48:947 (3) - instead. You'll find that the combo starts every time the singer puts emphasis on a note, which happens to occur mostly every two measures.

Try asking around in the #modhelp chat channel to see if anyone is willing to help you mod your map. It looks good for a first map, but you still need to work on things like spacing/new combos. Have fun mapping~
