Full disclosure, this was actually the post that made me want to make this thread, since I had some opinions about the topic of the thread but it's been locked for a few months.
I generally avoid talking about the subject of gender here for a variety of reasons, but... yeah, people can definitely be Like That towards anyone they perceive as having two X chromosomes. I'm not going to lie, it gets really tiring! I really do try not to bring it up often because I generally operate with the strategy of "telling people you're bothered by something they're doing to annoy you will only cause them to do it more" but I don't really use this site much anyways, so it isn't like I have many opportunities to be bothered anymore. I don't really enjoy getting weirdly propositioned with each thread I make or each time I bother to talk in a server, and it is kind of crazy to me that people think that behavior is normal.
There's a lot of really awkward posturing you have to do in order to just interact with everyone like a normal person, and even then it still doesn't work half the time. When I was more active, it felt that people just didn't take me trying to set boundaries with how I was talked about all that seriously, and it sucked. I just want to be treated like a normal human being. I often found myself wishing I had never joined any calls and kept all information about myself private, because a lot of things inevitably shifted after I revealed more about myself in a way I just... don't enjoy.
That isn't to say it's totally hopeless for women in OT/osu!-related communities, more so just a warning that you will have to be selective about who you interact with, what information you share, and how you share it. Stay firm with your boundaries, and if anyone objects to them, they probably aren't worth having as a friend. There are plenty of people on this forum who have been totally normal throughout my time and have been able to respect my wishes in certain regards, it's just an unfortunate truth that the people who don't will end up standing out more.
(final addendum addressing a throwaway line in the original post: I'm not active here anymore, but I still do check occasionally and I don't mind being contacted on either here or discord. Add some Kaito images to your DM to ensure I respond. I'm a horrible texter, though. Really don't expect much)

This is less of a serious response to the matters addressed in this post and more of a catch-all relating to all inquiries based on my previous presidency:
I remember jack shit from that era and can tell you absolutely nothing about my thought process, policies, or changes! Hope this helps!
(if you really need to know anything, I'd recommend like. Searching messages sent by my discord account in the government channel, if you're a member of the government. That would legitimately be more accurate than anything I can tell you.)
