"Acceptable" being defined as any of the following:
  1. Would the map be allowed to be uploaded or not? If not, would the uploader risk an immediate silence?
  2. Would the map be rankable or not?
  3. Would it risk the official support (badge) of a tournament, if the song were for a tournament?
For example, imagine that in the wake of Yuki wa Naniiro being DMCAed by Clearrave, someone wrote a song protesting the specific DMCA takedown, and protesting against Clearrave, but not sana, the artist. The song doesn't threaten or call for "death to Clearrave".
They then made a map for this song and pushed it for rank. Would this be possible, or would it be deleted?

In my opinion, the Song Content Rules would not disallow it, since the only thing they prohibit in this regard is "heavily political" music.
Unless you were calling to change copyright law, this would not be a problem. (It might even be fine to call for changes depending on whether you consider "heavily political" to mean politically inflammatory issues.)

Possible veto/unbadge for "disrespecting artists", though would be up to BNs/TComm respectively
