To all those complaining about matchups:

There really shouldn't be a problem with whomever you're matched up against. The maps will be chosen for each round such that everyone in the round should be able to more or less play the maps, but the better players should find them easier to FC under the pressure.

If it is okay with [vincent] and the organisers if i could change my game to friday night (6-8pm) please? if not i may not make my match.

Could someone confirm for me if the time difference between AEST and NZST is 2 hours? I.e. 7:45pm AEST would be 9:45pm NZST?

NZST = UTC +1200
AEST = UTC +1000

NZST = AEST +200

Can I also request to change my game to either a thursday or friday, somewhere in the afternoon around 2 - 4pm would be fine,

It's pretty strange to have such a limited nomod pool. You shouldn't force people into picking mods. A minimum of 6 nomod maps would probably be ideal.

Just been invited to a party for Saturday night meaning I won't be able to make it to my matches. Is it possible I can change to Friday/Sunday night? If not I'll just forfeit.

I believe one of the map selectors pulled out at the last minute, causing this week's map selection to be extremely rushed. It should be fixed for the following rounds.

wooooooooaaaaa omg i nearly missed it OAO thank god that i visited tournament forum today XD
._. so generally i have 2 days to practice all these maps..... okay then (shake in fear)

EDIT: i think it would be nice if the staff can sent a pm to the participants.... i think lots of people nominated during the planning stage forgot about this tournament (like me T_T)
also a question: is all map acceptable for warm up match?

Happyjon asked me if you guys would get access to the streaming client. This is per we possible, but yeh tournament host refused the offer to use it. Yet you can still decide for streaming it, if you send me the osu! Usernames of your decimated streamers at loctav@ppy.sh, along with the channel link you stream this tournament on.

Not yet, the plan is to start streaming from round 3 onward, as I doubt very many people will be interested in watching round 1/2 matches.

I think this is why some sort of tier system woud've been better, and there's another 3 - 0 on the way :|

Whelp, I got utterly destroyed.

Oh well, was still fun. Bit of experience playing in a more stressful environment. Hopefully there'll be another AUSNZ tournament in a year or so and I can actually provide some real competition.

Thanks to TimmyTimTims for the match, and Happyjon/Illkryn for organising/hosting and stuff!

ah that was super embarrassing, I wasn't expecting spectators. Since I don't have internet at home I had to go to someone else's place and use mouse-only instead of tablet, I failed utterly -_-

I think you know what I meant ;)

There wouldn't have been much point in rescheduling. Although I definitely would have done much better if I had gone to the trouble of lugging my tablet, monitor and massive tower to some relatives place that had internet, there was still no way I was beating a 3000+pp player. So I just decided to go somewhere and play with a mouse instead of dropping out~

though, I totally could've won the second match on that AR8 hard song! haha silly high ranking players not being able to read AR8, he broke combo like 5 times xD
