absolutely true and real, cooked a burger yesterday and it was better than most fast food burgers i had easily, if anyone is curious i used pre made patties (raw ground beef made in a patty shape) buns that i stole from the grocery store then i toast them while my pan is heating up, 100% REAL murican cheese 🦅 then for seasoning i used salt and black pepper on the patty while cooking and a sauce that i made with one part ketchup one part mayo then a little bit of cayenne pepper, paprika and garlic salt then i actually cook the meat (the most important part is prep first then meat last otherwise you will have to do everything while your meat is getting cold)

overall was really good but i shouldve added onion powder to the sauce rip
SOUNDS DELICIOUS TBH

i still do but "chef" is more of a word that describes my confidence and skill set in the kitchen rather than being a legitimate working class position anymore

Don’t, unless you know how to organize everything.

Organizing actually isn’t the hard part, it’s preparation

Some stuff is really really easy to make.

You can try by making some simple white rice. It barely requires attention.

mm, true! i know that at least,, thankfully

there are also very convenient tools for that, i alternate between cooking my rice on the stove and using a rice cooker instead, they're interchangeable for me

cook ramen in a pot
first get water in a bowl to the amount you want in the end
second you put it in a pot and boil aka high heat
third you put the ramen in the pot of boiling water saving the seasoning packet for later
after like 3 - 4 mins of cooking turn off heat then put into bowl
once you are ready to eat put the seasoning packet in, heat kills the flavor so its best to add it later like this
boom u made ramen

yippee i know this too!! prepared/cooked the noodles one or two weeks ago i think

but these are not necessarily very substantive foods, i'm afraid, and i need to expand my palatable diet and palette of options... of course, there are youtube tutorials and cooking/recipe blogs for this, but it may be useful to ask people here directly since that represents what people actually put into practice, so i thought of having both in unison

you can find tutorials to cook stuff like ribs or chicken in an oven and let it slow cook so you dont really have to do much other than pre heat your oven and prepare the meat and seasoning then put it in the oven then eventually it will be done ez

my sister did it once with chicken and it was actually some of the best chicken ive tried in my life

There's such a big difference in cooking for myself and cooking for others though. Like if it's just me, I'll just whip up something quick and easy. If it's others though, you can be damn sure I'm bringing my A-game, prepping like a Michelin chef.

(My favourite quick and easy meal rn is mushroom pasta - it is so delicious!)
