AR 10 the correct way...

What is the correct way to go about practicing ar 10?

Playing ar 8 + HR doesn't seem to be a reliable method

Simple due to the approach not being natural to me I pretty much alternate everything (that should be singled)
Also HR really sucks in terms of hp drain to..

The only method that comes to mind would be for me to sit on hr+ no fail or multi hr and play wack a mole for weeks/months.
If this is the most effective method I will stuck to my ar 9s

Take some maps and convert them to AR10. Or play HR with no fail on for a bit.

I just follow the guide lines on ar 10 jumps using gambskin. usually tells you where the next one shows before it even pops out

play ar10, dont play too much of it, ar9 hr ugh stuff like that

Guess Ill just hang around multi and HR any map I can already do

I can't even play AR10 anything yet ;-; I usually just go into multi and play some HR 'cuz you can keep playing after failing there XD.

Although CS4+HR feels a lot easier for me to read than CS4 with AR10. Might be just me though.

You could also try AR8+DT first since it's almost AR10 (AR 9 and 2/3).

I wondered about this myself.

What I found out is:

There is no correct way and you just play it until you can read it.

I learned how to sightread AR10 after playing only AR8 + DT for a few months.

it helped me but i had to actually play ar10 or ar7+hr to sightread it

I started with ar8+DT maps
then CRN beatmaps helped me a lot with that (starting with Feint - Reprise is great)
and now I force myself to pass some easy ar9+DT maps.

I'm not saying it's the best way to practice AR 10, but at least I'm fine with it now, and can actually sightread it.

Thanks for all the tips, I've decided I'm going to become a hidden bot to learn how to snap HR will come after when I'm actually ok at the hidden mod.


Is it normal for ar 10 to look like ar9 after playing a bunch of hidden xD

The hard part isnt playing AR10, the hard part is playing AR10 with high BPM, same goes for any AR really.

also hr is not even close to what ar10 maps are like.
the closest similarity you'll get is probably DT 9.66 AR
speaking of which, does someone have the DT AR table

I can only guess he means maps that are mapped to AR10 are usually more difficult than ar8/ar9 maps with HR because they are usually higher bpm which is why he suggested DT.

also hr is harder than ar10 maps for different reasons (od, note size)
