10:57 philiperendiller: or can i replace it somehow
10:57 Gexigamma: you just replace it
10:58 philiperendiller: how do i do that? sorry im new to the beatmap thingie
10:59 Gexigamma: you take the new mp3 file, search your song in the osu/songs folder and drop it there
10:59 philiperendiller: ah ^^
10:59 Gexigamma: the name of the new mp3 file must be the same of the old one
10:59 Gexigamma: you have to check that
11:00 philiperendiller: yeah i get it now ^^
11:00 philiperendiller: ima try
11:02 Gexigamma: you did it?

11:05 philiperendiller: sure ^^
11:06 Gexigamma: you may need to change the video offset i think
11:06 Gexigamma: when i tested it i think i used -400ms
11:07 philiperendiller: yeah it's a bit off sync ^^
11:07 Gexigamma: yeah XD
11:12 philiperendiller: done! :)

11:15 philiperendiller: ?
11:16 Gexigamma: you have to change the bpm
11:16 philiperendiller: yes
11:16 philiperendiller: to how much
11:16 philiperendiller: i feel like it falls a bit off too
11:16 Gexigamma: round it to 130bpm
11:17 philiperendiller: ^^
11:17 philiperendiller: ill try
11:17 philiperendiller: my virtual dj says 130,04 though
11:17 Gexigamma: most mixes use rounded bpm
11:17 philiperendiller: ok
11:22 philiperendiller: hmm should i adjust the offset aswell then?
11:23 Gexigamma: tha offset its ok
11:23 Gexigamma: at least for me :P
11:24 Gexigamma: after changing the bpm you have to resnap all notes
11:24 Gexigamma: you have done it?
11:24 philiperendiller: resnap?
11:24 Gexigamma: yep
11:24 Gexigamma: go to the timing menu
11:25 philiperendiller: ye
11:25 Gexigamma: and click where it says "Resnap all notes"
11:25 Gexigamma: in red
11:25 philiperendiller: resnap current section?
11:25 philiperendiller: resnap all notes
11:26 philiperendiller: ah
11:26 philiperendiller: then it should be synced with the offset again
11:26 Gexigamma: yes
11:29 philiperendiller: what about all the sliders?
11:29 philiperendiller: nvm
11:29 Gexigamma: ?
11:29 philiperendiller: i figured ^^
11:29 Gexigamma: :P
11:29 philiperendiller: that resnap all notes button is very useful lol
11:29 Gexigamma: yeah helps alot
11:30 philiperendiller: how come you know all this?=
11:30 Gexigamma: test and error, test and error
11:31 Gexigamma: and a bit of research
11:32 philiperendiller: cool ^_^
11:32 philiperendiller: uhmm what do i do with the unsapped kiai times? do i just replace them manually?
11:32 Gexigamma: oh yes
11:32 Gexigamma: you have to do it manually
11:32 philiperendiller: ok ^^
11:34 Gexigamma: last thing
11:34 Gexigamma: change the preview point
11:34 Gexigamma: to 00:18:312
11:34 philiperendiller: to the chorus?
11:34 philiperendiller: oh
11:34 philiperendiller: ok
11:35 Gexigamma: one tick before the kiai time

Good luck with your map ;)
Phos-
Hey there o/ Mod here~

General

Why is Gexigamma not in tags? He made you a diff, so his name must be in there.

Unrankable diff names, all difficulty names need to have a clear indication of difficulty, with the exception of the hardest in the set. Meaning you can keep [Gex's Baron] but you need to change all the other diffs to [Easy], [Normal], and [Hard].

Get a longer mp3, the part after the spinner ends so abruptly.

Keep spinners and breaks across all diffs consistent, because some diffs have spinners that start at different times, and [Gex's Baron] doesn't have a break where the other diffs do.

Wraith

Sorry, but I'd recommend a remap of this diff since you put the spacing too low >//< For an easy, you want it so that notes one beat apart don't overlap each other because overlapping notes an an easy is very hard to read for a beginner.. In this diff, however, you mainly map notes every two beats leaving it so that beats 1 beat apart overlap each other, including groups of sliders, leaving there slider trails overlapping each other, which is hard to read and doesn't look very nice. If you choose not to then...

AR - 1
HP - 2, you want to keep drain lenient for an easy diff.

00:16:025 (5) - I find that this works better for flow and such if you rotate this 45 degrees clockwise from the selection center.

00:26:178 (1) - This note goes into the slider track of 00:24:332 (4) - ! Please fix this since this could be very confusing for beginners and it doesn't look too nice.

00:58:948 (1) - Is this spinner really necessary? That part can easily be mapped with a few extra notes. Spinners should be saved for long, continuous notes notes I could also say the same for the spinner at the end of the map.

01:27:101 (3,4) - This would look better at x:219 y:175 because it would be perfectly symmetrical, making it loook nicer.

Golem

HP - 1

00:16:948 (12) - You really want to move this slider down to avoid the bad overlap with 00:16:486 (11) -

00:40:717 (7) - I was really expecting this slider to repeat a second time. Consider doing that so that it 1. Fits the music better thanks to a sound on the white tick. And 2. Flows better since you don't have to turn around your cursor.

00:42:563 (10) - Same kinda thing here but adding a repeat would make the flow worse so it's kinda up to you.

00:44:871 (2,3) - This blanket doesn't look to good. I would consider moving it to x:210 y:117 to make it look nicer.

00:59:063 (1) - Is this spinner really necessary? That part can easily be mapped with a few extra notes. Spinners should be saved for long, continuous notes notes I could also say the same for the spinner at the end of the map.

00:59:063 (1) - If you choose not to get rid of this spinner, then at least end it at 01:01:255 (1) - like in wraith, and start at 00:58:948 (1) -

01:06:794 (1,2,3,4) - This pattern doesn't belong in a normal diff, and I don't think it would match the ranking standards now days. Consider replacing it with something else.

01:10:255 (7) - For reasons I've stated before at 00:40:717 (7) - , please add a repeat to this slider.

01:12:101 (10) - ^

01:28:948 (1) - End this spinner at 01:31:255 (1) - like in wraith, it's always a good idea to keep your spinners consistent throughout all the difficulties.

Dragon

HP - 1

00:04:255 (1) - Why is there a new combo here??? Please remove it, because leaving 1 note combo's are very bad.

00:05:871 (7,8) - It would go with the music a lot better if you moved the end of 00:05:871 (7) - to 00:06:332 (8) - and move 00:06:678 (8) - to 00:06:563 (8) - . This might be a little unclear so here's an example of what the timeline should look like:

00:11:178 (2,3) - These two notes overlap each other slightly, but it's still bad, so please move them further apart.

00:36:794 (3) - You should make this slider repeat so there's a sound on the downbeat (The large, white tick)

00:59:178 (1) - Same as I've mentioned in [Golem], keep spinners consistent. Or remove this spinner entirely in all the diffs.

01:29:294 (1) - Another spinner problem as mentioned in [Golem], please keep the spinners consistant by making the start and end match [Waith]'s

Gex's Baron

HP-1

00:07:717 (1) - Please remove the NC here so it doesn't leave a 1 note combo, which are bad.

00:07:948 (1) - I would move this up to x:409 y:21 so it blankets 00:07:717 (1) - better.

00:09:563 (6) - Why does the slider speed suddenly change here? Don't do this since it's unexpected >.< and could trip a lot of people up.

00:09:640 (6) - Move this note to 00:09:563 (6) - and extend the slider end to 00:10:486 (7) - because it would fit a lot better with the music.

00:22:486 (1) - Remove NC here to get rid of the one note combo :/

00:59:640 (1) - Remove this spinner here because I don't really think it's necessary since I don't hear a long, continuous note.

01:13:717 (1) - Again, remove this 1 note combo.

01:28:601 (1) - Keep this spinner consistent for reasons I have stated before and in other diffs.

Well, that's it from me! Good luck on rank~

Hey Fluttershy
Thanks a lot for your answer, I really appreciate it!! ^_^ I'll adapt my diff's to the changes asap, but probably won't be finished before next week or so.

~ :)
Gexigamma
Okay, Easy diff finished: http://puu.sh/81DPk.rar (Added hitsounds)

Fluttershy03 wrote:

I can't do this because the original music video (here) have a credit part with different music after the part is cutted. :( I'll think what i can do...
Squichu
hi there!
randomly modding here, cause I like the song. =^__^=
everything below is suggestions, you are free to disagree w everything :3

[General]
  1. since there are 5 difficulties, might I suggest to name them "Gex' Bronze", "Silver", "Gold", "Gex' Platinum" and "Diamond"?
those names are rankable, since you don't have to play LoL to understand the difference in value of metal ~
  2. title should say "Instalok - Baron's Gone", " the cup song" should be added to tags
also, add "anna kendrick when i'm gone pitch perfect league of legends LoL parody" to tags (it's easier to find that way :3).
[Gex's Easy]
  1. video isn't set here yet
  2. shouldn't the name be "Gex' Easy"? o.o cause usually there's no "'s" after s and x
grammar nazi over and out xb
  3. hitsounds are a biiit too loud, imo, reduce them a bit? it sounds fine at the refrain, but in the beginning.. meh ~ >:
  4. I'd suggest to use CS3 (Circle Size 3) here (you'd have to redo most of the difficulty, but it might be worth it)
explanation - overall diffspread works nicer that way. Normal diff uses CS4, which is too far apart from CS2
and neither bpm nor slider velocity are high, beginner's won't have much of a hard time to hit CS3 objects
and I'd say CS3 looks less crowded than CS2, therefore it won't be as confusing as it looks now sometimes
and there are some parts you have to redo anyway, cause you didn't follow distance snap |:
  5. which brings me to the next point - Distance Snap:
you do use it most of the time, but there are some parts where you didn't
and DS is essential in Easy/Normal, otherwise the diff becomes unreadable for beginners
    take a look here -
    00:07:717 (1,2) -
    00:09:563 (2,1,2) -
00:16:948 (6,1) - (might be okay here cause of the break, but hmh.)
    00:31:717 (7,1) - ^
    00:36:794 (4,1) -
    00:40:948 (1,2) -
    00:42:794 (3,4) -
    00:55:717 (1,2,1) - ^
    gotta fix all of them |;
  6. you have some nice slider shapes, but sometimes they go against the flow/movement,
example - 00:11:409 (1,2) - shape is creative, but it'd wotk better if you place 2's start below 1's endsame here - 00:19:717 (2,3) - 3 goes against the movement indicated by 2
you could reverse 00:20:640 (3,4) - that'd work better I thinkyou just had to place 00:22:486 (1) - differentely then
    same here - 00:44:640 (1,2,3) -
    01:19:255 (3,4) - (reverse 4?)
    01:21:563 (1,2,3) -
  7. 01:29:178 (1) - silence soinner's end?
overall the diff looks not bad, especially some patterns work nicely, you could refine it here and there tho. :3

[Normal]
  1. the difference between Circle Size in Easy/Normal is too far apart, imo. so either increase it to CS3 in Easy or decrease it to CS3 in Normal
I'd prefer if it gets increased in Easy tho, see explanation above ~
  2. same about hitsound voulme as in Easy
  3. to have easier diffs clearer, combos shouldn't be longer than 8 in E/N.
you have some going till 12, that's too long. >:
    NCs here - 00:14:640 (7) - 00:25:717 (6) - 01:21:794 (7) -
  4. your sliders look weird sometimes. ;n; (sorry, I don't mean to be rude, it's just my personal taste!)
example - 00:05:871 (5) - it looks like this, cause you use 4 anchors, it's easier to use only 3 tho, they have a reaaaally nice curve if you only use 3
    example2 - 00:16:948 (12) -
  5. 00:05:871 (5,1) - see how the slider ends on a white tick and 1 is placed on a red tick?
that might be too hard for beginner players to read.
since there is an easier diff I think it's okay, but you should keep in mind that it decreases readabilty
  6. another thing you have to pay attention to is Distance Snap
don't break it in any way in E/N, you have to fix all DS errors - (and don't rely on AIMod there, it's hella buggy!)
    00:07:948 (1,2,3) -
    00:10:948 (1,2) -
    00:14:640 (7,8) -
    00:16:486 (11,12,1) -
    00:21:563 (5,1) -
    00:25:717 (6,7) -
    00:31:717 (5,1,2) -
    00:34:948 (3,4) -
    00:39:101 (5,1,2) -
    00:44:178 (1,2) -
    00:55:717 (2,3) -
    .. okay, I'm too lazy to write all down, pls check for yourself. ;___;
and you might want to disable Grid Snap to fix those errors, it's way easier to map without it.
  7. 00:14:640 (7,8) - overlaps like this are hard to read, make them look a bit better?similar here - 00:55:255 (1,2) -
  8. 00:25:948 (7) - short slider reverses are extremely hard to read as well, I'd prefer a one-reverse slider here over cirlce+sliderthe same goes for the similar parts!
  9. 00:28:948 (11,12,1,2,3,4) - you might wanna use some more sliders, not only here but overall
hitting circle after circle after circle is tiring to play and at some point boring as well >: (you could replace 1,2,3 with a single slider here)
    similar thing here - 00:35:409 (4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4) -

soooo, well. Idk if this is helpful to you, since it's more basic stuff.. x:
and the things I pointed out apply to the other diffs as well, so I'll stop here.
When you fixed all of them (if you do that.. '^') I can take a look at the mapset again, just send me a forum message or tell me ingame. c:

if you have any questions you can pm me as well.
good luck for now!

overall the diff looks not bad, especially some patterns work nicely, you could refine it here and there tho. :3
