10:58 philiperendiller: how do i do that? sorry im new to the beatmap thingie
10:59 Gexigamma: you take the new mp3 file, search your song in the osu/songs folder and drop it there
10:59 philiperendiller: ah ^^
10:59 Gexigamma: the name of the new mp3 file must be the same of the old one
10:59 Gexigamma: you have to check that

11:05 Gexigamma: only if you want
11:05 philiperendiller: sure ^^
11:06 Gexigamma: you may need to change the video offset i think
11:06 Gexigamma: when i tested it i think i used -400ms
11:07 philiperendiller: yeah it's a bit off sync ^^
11:07 Gexigamma: yeah XD
11:12 philiperendiller: done! :)
11:12 philiperendiller: thanks a ton

11:15 philiperendiller: ?
11:16 Gexigamma: you have to change the bpm
11:16 philiperendiller: yes
11:16 philiperendiller: to how much
11:16 philiperendiller: i feel like it falls a bit off too
11:16 Gexigamma: round it to 130bpm
11:17 philiperendiller: ^^
11:17 philiperendiller: ill try
11:17 philiperendiller: my virtual dj says 130,04 though
11:17 Gexigamma: most mixes use rounded bpm
11:17 philiperendiller: ok
11:22 philiperendiller: hmm should i adjust the offset aswell then?
11:23 Gexigamma: tha offset its ok
11:23 Gexigamma: at least for me :P
11:24 Gexigamma: after changing the bpm you have to resnap all notes
11:24 Gexigamma: you have done it?
11:24 philiperendiller: resnap?
11:24 Gexigamma: yep
11:24 Gexigamma: go to the timing menu
11:25 philiperendiller: ye
11:25 Gexigamma: and click where it says "Resnap all notes"
11:25 Gexigamma: in red
11:25 philiperendiller: resnap current section?
11:25 philiperendiller: resnap all notes
11:26 philiperendiller: ah
11:26 philiperendiller: then it should be synced with the offset again
11:26 Gexigamma: yes
11:29 philiperendiller: what about all the sliders?
11:29 philiperendiller: nvm
11:29 Gexigamma: ?
11:29 philiperendiller: i figured ^^
11:29 Gexigamma: :P
11:29 philiperendiller: that resnap all notes button is very useful lol
11:29 Gexigamma: yeah helps alot
11:30 philiperendiller: how come you know all this?=
11:30 Gexigamma: test and error, test and error
11:31 Gexigamma: and a bit of research
11:32 philiperendiller: cool ^_^
11:32 philiperendiller: uhmm what do i do with the unsapped kiai times? do i just replace them manually?
11:32 Gexigamma: oh yes
11:32 Gexigamma: you have to do it manually
11:32 philiperendiller: ok ^^
11:34 Gexigamma: last thing
11:34 Gexigamma: change the preview point
11:34 Gexigamma: to 00:18:312
11:34 philiperendiller: to the chorus?
11:34 philiperendiller: oh
11:34 philiperendiller: ok
11:35 Gexigamma: one tick before the kiai time
I can't do this because the original music video (here) have a credit part with different music after the part is cutted. I'll think what i can do...Fluttershy03 wrote:
Get a longer mp3, the part after the spinner ends so abruptly.
Thanks for your mod! :3Squirrel wrote:
[General][Gex's Easy]
- since there are 5 difficulties, might I suggest to name them "Gex' Bronze", "Silver", "Gold", "Gex' Platinum" and "Diamond"?
those names are rankable, since you don't have to play LoL to understand the difference in value of metal ~
Wow nice idea, but this depends of Phirt so...overall the diff looks not bad, especially some patterns work nicely, you could refine it here and there tho. :3
- video isn't set here yet
- shouldn't the name be "Gex' Easy"? o.o cause usually there's no "'s" after s and x
grammar nazi over and out xbI'm not sure... asked to a guy who's a native speaker and says it's ok, so no changes.- hitsounds are a biiit too loud, imo, reduce them a bit? it sounds fine at the refrain, but in the beginning.. meh ~ >: Okay, fixed!
- I'd suggest to use CS3 (Circle Size 3) here (you'd have to redo most of the difficulty, but it might be worth it)
explanation - overall diffspread works nicer that way. Normal diff uses CS4, which is too far apart from CS2
and neither bpm nor slider velocity are high, beginner's won't have much of a hard time to hit CS3 objects
and I'd say CS3 looks less crowded than CS2, therefore it won't be as confusing as it looks now sometimes Changed CS to 3, but i dont understand why i have to redo. All seems pretty ok.
and there are some parts you have to redo anyway, cause you didn't follow distance snap |:- which brings me to the next point - Distance Snap:
you do use it most of the time, but there are some parts where you didn't
and DS is essential in Easy/Normal, otherwise the diff becomes unreadable for beginners
take a look here -
00:07:717 (1,2) - Fixed!
00:09:563 (2,1,2) - Fixed!
00:16:948 (6,1) - (might be okay here cause of the break, but hmh.) Umm... No changes
00:31:717 (7,1) - ^ No changes
00:36:794 (4,1) - Fixed!
00:40:948 (1,2) - Fixed!
00:42:794 (3,4) - Fixed!
00:55:717 (1,2,1) - ^ No changes
gotta fix all of them |;- you have some nice slider shapes, but sometimes they go against the flow/movement,
example - 00:11:409 (1,2) - shape is creative, but it'd wotk better if you place 2's start below 1's end Okay, fixed!
same here - 00:19:717 (2,3) - 3 goes against the movement indicated by 2 Fixed!
you could reverse 00:20:640 (3,4) - that'd work better I thinkyou just had to place 00:22:486 (1) - differentely then Fixed!
same here - 00:44:640 (1,2,3) - Fixed!
01:19:255 (3,4) - (reverse 4?) Fixed!
01:21:563 (1,2,3) - Fixed!- 01:29:178 (1) - silence soinner's end? I'll see what can i do here with the soinner... This part it's hard tho because of the ugly ending of the mp3. I'll fix this when i get a new one.
