Hello everyone! I am somewhat newer to osu!mania mapping, but I am by no means inexperienced at all -- I have been making simfiles for other rhythm games like FlashFlashRevolution, StepMania, and even pad-related games like Pump It Up, Dance Dance Revolution, and In The Groove for well over 9 years altogether. I have started creating maps on osu!mania recently, and I am really focused on providing solid layering and pitch relevance while creating an enjoyable (and occasionally, difficult) experience for the players trying the maps.
What I will do for you:
I will...
- ...address the overall structure of your maps to see if they fit the music well on higher difficulties, and take a look at your style of undercharting or syncopating in lower level difficulties, and I may do so aggressively
- ...take a look at your layering to see if it is coherently structured in comparison to the song
- ...take a look at your pitch relevance overall to see if it does a good job representing occasional melodies, as PR is a great way to engage your player both visually and physically
- ...assist in modding maps for other people at their request, or, if my queue is heavy, in exchange for a mod of one of my own files
I will post this here and on any maps that I mod: it is entirely your choice to take my mods into consideration, and I will not be offended if you disregard any of them.
What I will not do for you:
I will not...
- ...address your hitsounding technique. I am relatively new to osu!mania editing, and hitsounding is admittedly one of the very few things that I am not familar with. I also tend to play with effect sounds off.
- ...address any difficulties outside of 4K. I do know how to map for these areas, but I am not proficient enough as players to make legitimate suggestions that will properly support good layering/pitch relevance while being well structured in terms of flow/patterning.
- ...take a look at any maps that don't at least have a basic foundation of being correct at all -- if a map has incorrectly set BPM or improperly set rhythms, I will let you know and have you review it as per tutorials listed in the mapping forums.
Please provide me the link to your map's THREAD when requesting a mod for easy access. Thank you! If you guys have any questions, please let me know!
