2. Play EVERY DAY. If you play every day, even for 6 months (182 straight days), it will definitely show not only in osu! but different things. After playing osu! for 5 years, I can play the piano from all of the tapping. I can type significantly faster than I used to. Playing every day adds a new aspect to your life.
3. Always play challenging maps more than once. If you look at my most played beatmaps, you can see that I have played lots of beatmaps over 100 times. This is to try for the score I am wanting to achieve. If you are having trouble on a map, what I like to do is run through it your first time around no matter the score, the amount of misses, accuracy, etc. What I also like to do is have "map sessions" where I play the same map 10-50 times in a row. It's not about beating the game, it's about beating yourself and getting better step by step.
