I get Poly's point. We shouldn't really jump to conclusions from only one source. I didn't notice no one mentions the 11 year old girl Kendrick addressed in meet the grahams ever since that dropped. Maybe Drake does have a 11 year old daughter, maybe he doesn't, it seems kinda in the air, at least for me since I didn't hear anything about that.
About this being marketing ploy: I doubt it. It was certainly a good opportunity for Kendrick to finally go out on someone he dissed over the years without addressing him directly and to display his skills. It helped that Drake and his writers didn't do a good job at replying. Drake lost here and the saying "Bad publicity is good publicity" doesn't hold water.
