For all diffs:
(new edits added)
- Add the name "Jun Senoue" to artist field, he is the composer of the song.
- Resize background picture to at least 800x width (i can help with that if needed!)
- Add a preview point (ask me if you don't know how)
- Change the source to just "Sonic Heroes"
- Remove "funny" from tags, unrelated

Normal mode:
- According to the official guidelines for normal mode, your circle size is too large. decrease it to 4 or below.
00:14:381 (3) - slider should end on white tick, not blue. it doesn't sync with the music.
00:33:080 (1) - pink hit circle is too far away from the end of the blue circular slider, use distance snap here(if you don't know what that is, feel free to ask - that goes for anything at all so i won't note it anymore)
00:39:861 (1) - make the slider start on the white tick, does not sync with music otherwise
00:43:148 (1) - the start of the slider is too far from the previous slider's end, use distance snap here.
01:02:566 (4) - shorten slider so it ends on red tick (the red tick that's behind the blue tick it ends on)
01:14:176 (1) - hit circle too far away from the end of the circular slider

i'll add more errors a bit later.

edit: back!

01:24:244 (1) - start of this slider is too far away from previous slider, use distance snap to bring them closer
01:27:532 (1) - same as above
01:30:820 (1) - same as above
01:34:107 (1) - same as above
01:37:395 (1) - same as above

Hard mode:
Your hard mode is all over too easy, and it's awfully similar to your normal mode. here's a bit of advice - if you can't S rank at least 5 different ranked hard mode beatmaps, then you're better off just making easy and normal mode and having someone else make a guest difficulty hard for you. if you prefer you can keep this and ask for a guest diff too though.

i'm not very good with detailed modding for hard mode so that's all i have to say. good luck!

I really don't know how to resize bakground in the right way ;S (help!) and I don't even now what a preview point is (never heard about that).
I modified the normal mode and made the hard one more difficult, so as soon as you teach me how to do this 2 things I'll immediatly upload the new beatmap.
Thanks!

i'm glad to help!

a preview point is like..you know when you click on a map from the menu of osu, and automatically a part of the song starts playing? have you noticed if you move from that map to another, and then click back to the original map again, the same exact part of the song that played as a preview earlier will play again. that's your preview point.
in your timing tab, you can choose a place where you want the preview point to start and then pause and set the preview point like so:

i think you have to do that for all your difficulties. also start your preview point at a white tick just a second before the chorus, that works best.
also i've noticed you don't know how to set kiai time do you? even if you know, don't abuse this feature! try to use it 2 times or /less/ in a song, please!
to set a kiai time you go to your timing tab, play the song until you hear the beginning of the "powerful" part of the song and set the kiai time to start there, and end it when the powerful part is over, read more about it here: https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Kiai_Time
if you don't know how to do it, feel free to ask me.

as for the background, here are downloads to other, bigger images. i tried to resize the original one but because the image is low quality, it looks all pixely...you're better off using any of these images because beatmaps with LQ backgrounds don't get ranked without fixing it:

http://www.dan-dare.org/Dan%20Sonic/Son ... r31024.jpg

these are very nicely compatible with osu, though they'll be a bit enlarged on hd resolution monitors but that's fine. remember to use only ONE and to delete the old background off of your song's folder once you apply a new one. and keep the bgs the same throughout all difficulties!

also, may i ask if i can do a guest difficulty?

Wow! It is pretty impossible to see that someone wants to make a new difficulty for my beatmap *-* Of course you can!
For kiai mode i was not sure where to place it... I'll also review that. And even the new background. Soon I'll upload the new hard difficulty but it seems to be a little to difficult, so once more I have to ask an advice e.e
P.S.
So you like very much Sonic, don't you?
poddo
i wanna do it especially cause of the song >w> //shot
don't worry, your hard and insane modes can never be too hard or easy! what you have to worry about is your NORMAL and EASY being easy enough for new players uwu
YES I DO i like it very much!! osu needs more sonic!! i'm working on a sonic beatmap myself actually! it's starlight zone https://osu.ppy.sh/s/158602 i plan to do all the songs of sonic 1
poddo
oh man, i messed up in my previous modding haha. anyway, good job with the BG!

the whole formatting i did with this is a mess //laughs// so i'll just put it under a spoiler box:
SPOILER
Normal mode:
- According to the official guidelines for normal mode, your circle size is too large. decrease it to 4 or below.
i meant your circle size is too SMALL, take the circle size to 4 or below like so:

and DON'T use a beat snap divisor more than 1/4 for normal:

change your first kiai time's beginning's offset to 67600 and ending offset to 80751, just copy and paste these numbers to the timing control panel after selecting the beginning and ending of your kiai time. please start your second/last kiai time at offset 125135 and and for now, set the end time of the last kiai at 159655 offset. you might need to change this depending on how you map the end of your map.

as you can see from the AiMod as well(shift+crtl+A to open), you have problems with your preview time and kiai times:

00:08:422 (2) - the sliders are on top of each other, change the positionings, overlapping is discouraged

00:13:662 (2) - better if the sliders repeat? like so:

00:27:429 (3) - same here

00:43:148 (1) - this slider and the angular slider overlaps. fix with distance snap

00:54:758 (2) - same with the slider repeating pattern as mentioned earlier

01:24:244 (1) - fix overlap with distance snap!

01:27:532 (1) - same as above

01:30:820 (1) - same as above

01:37:395 (1) - same as above

01:54:244 (4) - overlaps next slider!

hard mode:
open AiMod and tick "check distance snap", this is what you get:

try to fix those object placement errors accordingly.

fix the normal mode's kiai timing as said above, then do the exact same and sync with hard mode, that will get rid of these errors:

00:14:176 (3) - the circle overlaps the next slider, as in, it's visually on top of it, avoid that and change the circle's position to something like this:

00:27:327 (3) - same as above

00:39:861 (1) - start slider on previous white tick instead. remember that your white tick is your MAIN tick, any beat that ends or starts on the white ick will automatically sync with your music if your timing is correct. ALWAYS keep that in mine whenever putting a new hit object.

00:43:149 (1) - with distance snap on, change position to something like this, it overlaps the previous slider:

00:55:272 (3) -
the circle overlaps the next slider, as in, it's visually on top of it, avoid that
01:00:563 (1,1,1) - i know it looks really pretty to start new combos one after another with circles like this but that's actually unrankable, sadly. so just remove the new combos of the next two circles and make it a 1-2-3 combo pattern

01:08:422 (3) -
the circle overlaps the next slider, as in, it's visually on top of it, avoid that
01:24:244 (1) -
with distance snap on, change position
01:26:864 (4) - do not end this slider on the red tick, that is off-beat

hope i helped with more! can't wait for the next update :)

Done, even if these rules are a bit annoying >>

Maybe I took too much freedom when you said "your beatmap will never be too hard or easy" :9
poddo
yo! i'm not sure if you're interested in this map anymore but i just wanna apologize for leaving all of a sudden, especially after offering a guest diff. i won't be doing that anymore cause i'm really busy nowadays, but if you want me to look at the map again, i'll surely be willing to do it cause i wanna get back into osu again. (sorry if im being too foreward, haha)

and yeah, sometimes osu rules are real strict.
