I'd like to join a community of mappers who are as passionate about old maps as I am. My favorite mapping styles as a player are those of Andrea, DJPop, James, Sonnyc, jericho2442, happy30, Agent Spin Here, and blissfulyoshi. It'd be nice to be guided by someone who is versed in old mapping styles (2007-2013) as I'd like my own style to be like that when I become a good mapper. I'd like to bring back old style mapping in the ranked section (eventually, in 1-2 yrs maybe when my maps become decent? xD). I know my mapping right now really sucks, but I'd like to it be less sucky. I do admit I learned a lot in mapping ever since I started in September, but I can't help but feel like I'm stuck right now, I don't know where to start to improve.

I'm in a few Discord mapping communities right now but most people are interested in more modern mapping styles. I'm also getting help from Andrea whose style I most want to emulate. But I don't want to bother him too much by asking for too much help. I know, especially nowadays, that we're all busy. Though it'd be nice if there was such a community who could help me grow.

Thank you :)

You could join one of the Modding Hubs, there is no such server for the osu specific mode, but the members on the other mode specific ones should be able to point you to the right direction I guess.
You could also join the osu! University, but the mapping channels are not too active.

Other than that, maybe you can find something in the replies here: community/forums/topics/501854?n=1
Post that should be of interest for you: 408 to 410, and maybe 396 (It's more focused on artists/music producers I guess?)

All of the above are likely more focused on more modern mapping styles, since you mentioned that you favour older mapping styles you might also be interested in the oldsu server (server focused on 2009 osu) I'll send you an invite via DM.

I hope this helped you further.

I already am! I've been trying to learn it since September and while I have made progress, I've definitely just been learning in my own little bubble for most of the time. Most of the help I have gotten isn't even from people who specialize in old mapping. So I thought getting some outside help from people more knowledgable would help me grow ^^
