00:09:149 (2) - you should avoid using this kind of short sliders in Easy difficulties, since it may be too hard for some beginners. I would replace this slider with a circle instead. (this applies to the other sliders of this kind too)
00:45:512 (1,2) - these 2 sliders are a bit ugly and look like they don't belong to this section, since you've used only round sliders. Consider making them round like the others.
01:17:167 (1) - this slider is too close to the end of the spinner, some players might see it coming too late.

NORMAL:

01:32:263 (1) - move this slider to x:172 y:148 in order to connect better with 01:30:715 (4)

Aoki, let me give you a tip for modding:
1. When wanting to make the mapper change something, always give out a reason, or he might even misunderstand. Even the reason " It look better like this for me " , The mapper will know it comes from your opinion. If you don't at least say that, a newb mapper might get confused, like " I don't understand, why must i change that? " That's why you should always give a reason to every suggestion of your mod.
2. When playing with notes to make them look prettier, please be sure that at least they have correct distance snap especially for Easy & Normal difficulties.

About your NC ; I didn't apply them all. The importance is not only that your combo are not too exessing ; but also the constantity. Some parts have much less notes, thus having only a small combo, while other got more. NCing the part when there are much notes would break the constanthingy.

Hello. Came here for ZUN

A mod was posted before I finished so some mod might not apply.

[General]
You should use the original Japanese title for the title: 蠢々秋月 ~ Mooned Insect
Romanized title would be Shunshun Shuugetsu ~ Mooned Insect
I know a lot of the ZUN maps doesn't have original Japanese title, but that's because most of them were made before the Japanese title were possible on osu.
Add the translated title to the tag instead.
I'm not really sure about the BPM, but 151 looks better at the beginning of the map. It matches up pretty nicely with the next timing section.
Try making new combo every 2 big white tick, it usually work very well. This is when melodies and such usually end and start repeating in most of the songs, including this one. I usually new combo on other areas only when I really want to emphasize the song or make the map kind of feel faster, increasing the frequency of the new combos to every 1 big tick instead, or sometimes even shorter. Doing this will make combos both a lot more consistent and mapped well to the music.
I really like the hitsounds in the whole mapset, they're easy to listen to and compliments the song really well :D

[Easy]
00:03:604 (2,1) - The distance for both note is pretty different, make them consistent by DS-ing to 1.3x?
Prev is the distance between 00:01:624 (1,2), next is the distance between 00:04:793 (1,2). The rest is 1.3x, so they feel out of place.
00:15:319 (1) - Move it closer the center? Beginners need some time to recover from the spinner and having a note too far off to the side makes it harder for them to hit.
00:18:803 (4) - Nazi, but this note can be blanketed more properly. Rotate -5 with selection centre checked and it should look better
00:33:125 (1,2,3,4) - I think tilting this square so 00:33:899 (2) has the same y axis as 00:32:351 (4) will look nicer. Or just move 00:33:899 (2,3) - for a rhombus
00:39:706 (7) - I'm sorry for all these Nazi mods, but that's what I usually find when I mod >.<. Rotate -3 selection centre for blanket
01:24:521 (2) - ctrl+g flows better imo. It forms a little C flow instead of breaking the curve and going to the other end of the slider
01:38:457 (4) - This spacing may confuse new players, too close to each other
01:39:618 (5) - Big jump o_O. I feel like 01:38:457 (4) may be accidental considering this huge jump

[Normal]
This difficulty is very difficult for Normal, tons of 1/2s.
Normals aren't actually that much different from Easy. Tons of 1/1s and heavy DS-ing. They allow for more complex "polarity switch" than Easy between white and red ticks using 1/2s, which gives you more freedom on parts you can map, but other than that, they're basically the same (at least that's how I view them).
Decrease the amount of 1/2s and it should play nicer.
00:12:713 (1) - This starts on the 151.5BPM's white tick, unlike the one on Easy. Move back the spinner a tiny bit for consistency
00:25:770 (1) - This is too hard to read for Normal. Move this somewhere else where it won't both fight back the flow and stack under the slider stream.
00:28:480 (4) - This ignores the melody and feels awkward. It's also inconsistent with the previous parts with similar melody.
00:36:222 (1) - This also feels inconsistent and awkward. It's also on the different part of the melody from 00:28:480 (4), so it's like inconsistency doubled D:
00:45:512 (1,2,3,4,5) - Nice pattern, I like this one :D
00:50:544 (5) - Blanket?
00:57:899 (1) - I'm really bad at blanketing the bodies but (433,117) for the 2nd white point, and (444,198) for 3rd white point for better blanketing with 00:56:738 (7).
The rest of the the map doesn't feel like there's anything wrong. I feel like the rhythms should be more consistent though. Too much variety for repeating part of the song.

[Kaguya's Hard]
This map has some pretty heavy usage of sliders. Try breaking them up into circles a bit more. I also think that it's mapped in too much 1/2s, rhythm is too constant. More variety in rhythm would be better. There aren't that much problem in patterns, though. Pretty good usage of repetition.
00:04:793 (1) - Stack with 00:03:604 (4)? I liked the stack you did with 00:02:416 (2). No need to forcefully offset. It creates the stop then go feel better with the stack
00:08:357 (1,2) - ctrl+g both sliders individually flows nicer, also have more consistent distance
00:30:028 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - These sudden jumps feel too hard for Hard. I suggest doing something like 00:36:222 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
00:33:706 (2) - I think blanketing here instead is better. It removes the small ugly overlap you have at the tail.
00:59:448 (1) - This blanket can be better
02:00:715 (2,1) - Stack more properly

I'll just write here my logic about Normals difficulty for next modders:

Most normals are really like easy with alot of comparison, primaly 1/1's. In normal, there are only less than 5% of the map with 1/2. But why? Just look at most hard! They start using constant 1/2, jumps, triplet, all this stuff, normal don't even go far to using a few 1/2's. And look at easy, how it look so simple, exactly like normal. But normal should be more challenging. Not "It's ok, just place a few randoms 1/2, and some higher setting, everything's alright, yeah!" No. I want to make my normal a bit more challeging, and this time for real. Not a botched normal­ that look so much like easy. Easy =/= Normal. How are the players supposed to train for hard? Giving them that "NOFAIL BEOTCH NOW TRAIN UNTIL YOU'RE GOOD!" That's simply, like mean and harsh against begginers... Why? What is that weird logic? I'd wish to know. We must not have a mentality "Easy & Normal go to noobs, Hard & Insane for good players and Extra for Pro". Each difficulty must have it own spread. Givving no opportunity to train yourself with 1/2 is completely stupid. I like, don't see much maps where actually there is a decent amount of 1/2's.

I feel like I should reply to this because my mod was probably the reason you wrote this. I'm not saying you're wrong, and if you believe that's how Normal should be, then I'm not going to force you to map differently.

The generic Hards actually doesn't contain much triplets. They're filled with 1/2s and 1/1s, with some 1/4 repeat sliders. Triplets are rare and maps that frequently use them are considered difficult Hards (like Hyper diff).

Personally, I view the difficulties like this:
Easy - Hit notes with metronome, pretty much everything is on white tick.
Normal - Leave the comfort zone of metronome and play some more complex rhythm, but still mainly 1/1 rhythm, just teaching new players to play in more advanced rhythms.
Hard - Now that they can handle more complex rhythm, speed up the map by mainly mapping in 1/2, with occasional 1/4s and breaking of DS to foreshadow how the Insane is going to play. Then
Insane/Extra - Basically do whatever you want.

This is all my opinion though, and Normal is my least favorite diff to map because I'm pretty bad at it, since I can't balance out the gap between Easy and Hard correctly. I still think you should decrease the amount of 1/2s in this Normal (not saying completely remove them all) to balance out this mapset though. The Easy is very easy, a lot of notes are in 2/1, skipping many white ticks. Hard is also 1/2 slider heavy (though constant 1/2 circles in some parts of the map are somewhat difficult in this map) and is on the easy side. Putting a challenging Normal in the middle doesn't feel right imo.

Actually, it wasn't your mod really. AI'm pretty giving out my opinion about normals, because most people, even on IRC were telling me my normal was harsh or stuff like that. And you know, I love your normal difficulty in your map, im currently modding it writing this. Also about diffspread, It's because of the GD, you know. If it was my own hard, it would be harder of course. Everyone got his own way of mapping. I know the diffspread look a bit unbalanced, for sure. But just removing a few 1/2's would force me much remap, distance review, flow ad sutf like that for not much anything. And the diffspread I made reflect my opinion about difficulties:

An Easy difficulty reflect freshness of starting osu. The player who wish to adapt to this new amazing game must trian himself first, with only a few notes. Not notes every white ticks. They train temselves slowly up to where they can pass Normal. On Normal, It become somehow harsher, but is still easy with some training. (Really! Look at your normal on your map lol). It might look like a big jump, to go from a few 1/1 to mostly contant 1/2, but for me Normal looks completely unuseful actually, the way it is. This is why I am trying to make a challenging Normal ; I don't want to give up on unexperiemented players that can't pass hard yet. But you know, my opinion and the acutal is around the same. Make an Easy, make a Normal, then BANG make a 1/2 spam Hard. Mine is simply to make a real slow easy. Normal start constant speed, thus more challenging, like the actual gap between Normal and Hard actually, both makes no sense, really. But everyone has got his unique style of mapping, and no one should force another to change someone else's mapping style, even in diffspread, like you said. ( Are we debating or something? )

This map has some pretty heavy usage of sliders. Try breaking them up into circles a bit more. I also think that it's mapped in too much 1/2s, rhythm is too constant. More variety in rhythm would be better. There aren't that much problem in patterns, though. Pretty good usage of repetition.

And hey, at least one part of the map needs to have an extra kick so the player can actually fail right? I mean come on, other than the kiai the rest is pretty darn easy.
00:33:706 (2) - I think blanketing here instead is better. It removes the small ugly overlap you have at the tail. :arrow: Fixed in previous mod, but thanks.
00:59:448 (1) - This blanket can be better :arrow: Fixed.

Yes it was. It had a horrbible spread otherwise, jumping from 1.5 stars to 4 stars. I made a new difficulty so that the spread would have some balancement, since i couldn't increase/decrease corectly the stars of the Normal and Begginer.

I would totally agree in easy/normal and maybe hard, but the spacing isn't that strong. The spacing, evne if a bit different doesn't matter much. You should check yourself other Insanes difficulties.   12. 01:05:254 (4,5) - ^ unreasonable jump These are almost the only jump. Why say it's unreasonable, and also, there is like a quick sound you can hear. It's totally why i placed this jump.
  13. 01:07:964 (4,5) - ^ That's not even a jump, o.O
    0:715 (8,9,10) - this flow is very very bad look
  14. 01:32:070 (12,1,2) - inconsistent spacing
  15. 01:58:779 (2,3) - spacing...that's all you should check them by yourself before more modding
Conclusion, I did change some stuff about spacing, not much. Remember spacing can be broken in Insane, without any problem.

General - The diff name is a bit vague. Can't tell if it's a normal diff or just a slightly harder easy or wat. Change to Easy or Normal

General - There is 4 DS errors in the map. Go in it and fix it ASAP. An easy diff must follow DS no matter what;.

00:07:366 (5) - A new player won't know when to let go of the repeat. I would remove one of the repeat and then add a circle or just make the slider longer so it still covers the same area in one repeat.

00:20:351 (5) - Easy players don't know how to deal or to even expect stacks. I would move this somewhere else so that it still follows DS without being stacked (you may need to move other things around)

00:30:028 (1,2,3,4) - I would probably do what you did in 00:36:222 (1,2,3,4) instead of what you are doing now to make it sound more correct in timing and rhythm while keeping a consistent Easy pattern.

00:50:157 (3) - Refer to 00:07:366

01:09:706 (5) - ^^

01:38:457 (1,2,3,4) - New players will jump these patterns early. Remove the circles and add a repeat.

00:30:996 (6) - I didn't even notice this at all because I didn't expect a huge jump back to where I started, especially considering 2 was still fading. I would move 6 somewhere else to keep a long jump but not stack it with 2.

00:55:190 (5,1) - Ridiculously unexpected jump, even for an Insane diff. I didn't see the 5 coming and an Insane player really wouldn't expect the huge jump but rather go from 5 back to a stack on 4 to the current stack on 1. Perhaps move 1 to where 4 is or move 5 somewhere else to keep the jump challenge but not stack with 1.

01:58:199 (6,7,1) - Once again, I would move this since 3 and 4 are still fading, so this isn't really expected - or at least would be hard to see.
