i just realized that ive been working on a 5 minute song for about 2 months for maybe a couple hours more or less daily and i only have about 25% of it done. i have motivation to work on it im just very slow and dont know why.
im not quite sure what the hell im doing but i think i spend a lot of time just obsessing over every minor thing too much, and i spend a lot of time replaying sections rather than actually mapping.
i want to just finish things faster but at the same time i dont enjoy creating something i dislike but apparently doing that requires an unacceptable amount of time.
from a general productivity perspective i think doing this casually is a problem since i work without time constraints. perhaps setting time constrainted goals would help? not sure since my guess is that i would simply just face the same issue of needing too long to make something decent.
whats a good approach to take here?
